Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies for Sale in California
Families searching for Mini Doxiedoodle puppies for sale in California are looking at a puppy raised about 2,300 miles east of them, on a five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio. The name overlap with California's own Fresno gets pointed out to us fairly often, and it makes for an easy way to remember where your puppy actually comes from.
Our Doxiepoos are a Miniature Dachshund crossed with a Miniature Poodle. They finish around 8 to 12 inches tall and 10 to 20 pounds, with a wavy to curly coat that sheds very little. Temperament tends to land somewhere between the two parents, affectionate and quick to learn from the Poodle side, funny and a little stubborn from the Dachshund side. That size works well in a San Francisco apartment or a Sacramento suburb without much adjustment.
Distance is the one thing California buyers always ask about first, so we cover it plainly further down. Most families here end up choosing a flight nanny into their closest airport, which usually gets the puppy home the same day.

Meet Our Available Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies
The puppies below are the ones we currently have available. Each one leaves us at 8 weeks or older, vet checked by Danville Veterinary Clinic, microchipped, current on vaccines and dewormings, and covered by a written three year health guarantee for genetic and congenital conditions. Prices run from $1,495 to $2,995 depending on coat, color, and gender.
Reserving is done right here on the site with a $200 deposit. We do not keep a waitlist, so a puppy stays listed until someone reserves it, which can happen the same day it goes up. Once yours is reserved we get on a call and sort out how to get it to California.

Getting Your Puppy to California
You have three ways to bring a puppy home, and we decide which one on a call after the reservation rather than at checkout.
Flight nanny. This is what we recommend for almost every California family. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, and hands it to you at the arrivals curb. Most of these are done same day. We fly into Los Angeles International, San Francisco International, San Diego International, Sacramento International, John Wayne in Orange County, Oakland, and Fresno Yosemite International, among others. Cost is quoted per flight since airfare moves around. Mini Doxiedoodles are a good fit for this method because an 8 week old puppy is nowhere near the 20 pound in cabin limit, and they have a normal muzzle, so none of the airline restrictions that apply to flat faced breeds come into play.
Home delivery. A professional transport service drives the puppy to your door in a climate controlled van with an individual carrier, a pre trip vet check, and updates along the way. California sits in our national tier at a flat $450. The drive from Ohio runs 32 to 38 hours one way depending on whether you are near Redding or down by the Mexican border, so plan on 2 to 3 days on the road. Some families prefer this because there is no airport trip on either end.
Farm pickup. You are welcome at the kennel by appointment, and it is worth mentioning even at this distance because a few California families do build a trip around it. You meet the puppy's mother, tour the buildings, and go through the health records in person. We are about 80 miles east of Columbus.
For a puppy with a Dachshund back, less time in transit is generally better, which is another reason the flight tends to win out for the West Coast.
About Our Mini Doxiedoodle Puppy Breeder Program Serving California
The Puppy Lodge is a family run operation in Coshocton County, Ohio, and the Nisley family has been raising dogs for over 13 years. We own every parent dog behind our Mini Doxiedoodles, and we run Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Poodles as their own health tested programs. That means when we pair for a Doxiepoo litter we already know the history on both sides instead of guessing at half of it. Litters are raised across a closed network of nearby kennels that work only with our dogs and follow our health testing, genetic testing, and breeding standards.
Being three time zones away, the fair question is why not buy closer to home. Our answer is what we do before a litter exists. Structure matters a lot in this cross, since a puppy that inherits the long Dachshund back carries more spinal risk than one that inherits the Poodle's squarer frame, and we weigh that when we choose pairings. Our vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic is on site weekly checking adults and newborn litters. Every puppy runs the Early Neurological Stimulation protocol from day 3 through day 16, gets handled daily by our kids, and starts potty and crate work before it goes home. The three year guarantee covers genetic and congenital problems including spinal, hip, and elbow, which matters more in this cross than in most.
If you want the full picture on the breed before you commit, read our complete Mini Doxiedoodle guide. You can also set up a FaceTime call with us to see a puppy before you put a deposit down, which is worth doing when you cannot drive out to visit.
