Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Colorado

The Puppy Lodge sends its Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Colorado west from Ohio by air or by road, so they reach you without a long trip on your end. The curly single layer coat they grow holds loose hair instead of dropping it on the floor. These purebred puppies can be registered with the AKC, and each one has a microchip, its own health record, and current shots and dewormings before it leaves.

Colorado Miniature Poodle Puppies Ready to Reserve

Each puppy's price depends on its color, coat type, and gender, with $1,995 as the starting point. Reserving one takes a $200 deposit. If your plans change after that, the non-refundable deposit can move to another available puppy.

We keep no waitlist, so a puppy stays open until the first family reserves it. Litters that have not been born yet are listed as well, and you can claim an early pick from one of those. Before paying, you are welcome to set up a FaceTime call and watch a puppy play. If you would like to spread out the cost, Credova offers financing. We arrange delivery to Colorado with you, and no puppy leaves before it is eight weeks old.

How Our Miniature Poodle Puppies Travel to Colorado

Once the reservation is in, we talk by phone and settle on how your puppy travels. For Colorado we suggest flying, since a flight spares a young puppy the long road trip. No matter which option you pick, we pack your puppy's carrier with a blanket holding its mother's scent. You also get a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, so you can mix the old food into the new one as you change over.

A Flight Nanny Into a Colorado Airport

A trained handler keeps your puppy company the whole way. Inside the plane, the puppy rides in an airline approved soft carrier at the handler's feet, under the seat in front. Nothing rides in cargo. Denver International, Colorado Springs Airport, Grand Junction Regional, and Durango-La Plata County Airport all have scheduled passenger flights, so you can pick the one nearest you. The handler sends photos and videos while you wait, then hands your puppy over at baggage claim.

The nanny service has two rules. The puppy must be eight weeks or older and must weigh under 20 pounds with its carrier. A puppy that age weighs far less than that. Before takeoff we get a health certificate signed by a licensed vet. Snow at Denver sometimes pushes flights back, so leave a little give in your date. Expect to pay more than the van fee, with the exact price quoted for each flight.

Door to Door by Van

For around $450, a professional pet transport service will drive your puppy across the plains to your Colorado door. More of our puppies travel this way than any other. The custom climate-controlled van always has two drivers aboard, and your puppy gets its own carrier and a vet exam before the van pulls out. The drivers send you updates during the trip, which runs roughly 18 to 23 hours from Ohio depending on where in Colorado you live. The date is one we agree on together, and the drive is planned so your puppy reaches your door safely. The van makes sense if you would rather not deal with an airport at all.

Picking Up in Person

Pickup at our Ohio farm is by appointment. We sit down with you over your puppy's paperwork, which covers its vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee, and you are free to tour the facility. It is mainly practical for a Colorado family that already has a reason to be in Ohio.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Colorado Families

Fresno, Ohio, is home to the Nisley family's five acre farm, where they have raised dogs for over 13 years. Our litters come from a closed group of nearby kennels whose breeders keep no dogs but ours, and all follow one set of health and breeding standards. That arrangement is why we hold a broker license, and it means no puppy comes to us from outside the group. The Puppy Lodge owns the parent dogs, apart from the occasional outside stud.

Before it is bred, each parent is genetically tested for coat and color traits and for conditions such as progressive retinal atrophy. No breeder can rule the risk out completely. Screening lowers the odds, and we would rather say that than promise more. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet checks grown dogs and new litters weekly, so a knee or eye problem in a small dog can be caught early. Between day 3 and day 16, each litter goes through early neurological stimulation, and the puppies are handled and played with every day. Potty and crate training begin before a puppy leaves. Each one comes home with a written three year health guarantee.

A trip to Ohio is a big ask from Colorado, so we make our testing and care easy to check from home. Call about the parents behind a litter, or read our 50+ Google reviews from past buyers.

FAQs Of Colorado Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: Is a Mini Poodle sturdy enough for Colorado trail walks?

A: Our Mini Poodles grow into athletic dogs rather than delicate lap dogs, and a grown one can handle long walks and easy trails with you. Aim for 45 to 60 minutes of activity every day. Mental work matters as much as miles, and ten minutes of focused training or a puzzle feeder can tire one out faster than a longer walk. Poodles started as duck retrievers in Germany, so many enjoy swimming too. You can read more in our Miniature Poodle guide.

Q: What does winter grooming look like with Colorado snow?

A: Snowballs stick to the curls on the legs and belly, and a towel plus a quick brush after winter outings keeps them from turning into mats. The rest of the year you still brush several times a week, working behind the ears, under the legs, and along the collar line. Plan on a groomer every four to six weeks, which costs about $50 to $80, and ask for a sporting clip if you want the coat kept short. Swimming and baths leave water in the drop ears, so dry them well afterward.

Q: Can my puppy's coat color change after it comes home?

A: A Mini Poodle's color may change in its first year or two. Reds can turn apricot, blacks sometimes clear to silver or blue, and browns may soften toward cafe au lait. None of that points to a health problem. Call us before you reserve if a certain shade matters, and we will go over how color has held up in that litter's parents.

Q: How big will our Mini Poodle be as an adult?

A: Expect 10 to 15 pounds on a dog that measures 10 to 15 inches at the shoulder. Height usually tops out between 9 and 12 months, and the body keeps filling in until roughly 18 months. Screening the parents gives us the likely adult size range before a litter is born. A Mini Poodle usually lives 12 to 15 years, and a lean weight helps keep it healthy through those years.

Q: Can I meet the parents before I bring my puppy home?

A: You are welcome to meet your puppy's mother on a visit, which you can book for Monday through Saturday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. The father will not always be there to meet, since an outside stud service is used once in a while to strengthen the program. If you choose farm pickup, you can book the visit and the pickup together.
