Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies for Sale in Delaware from The Puppy Lodge

Families looking at Mini Doxiedoodle puppies for sale in Delaware are usually looking for a small dog that fits a rowhouse in Wilmington, a place near Dover, or a beach house down in Sussex County, and this cross of a Miniature Dachshund and a Miniature Poodle handles all three. They grow to about 10 to 20 pounds and stand 8 to 12 inches at the shoulder, with a wavy or curly coat that sheds very little. The personality is the part most families notice first. They are smart, funny, affectionate, and they want to be involved in whatever the household is doing.

The Puppy Lodge is based in Fresno, Ohio, on a five-acre farm in Coshocton County. That puts Delaware about seven to eight hours away by road, which is a short trip by our standards and one of the reasons deliveries to the state usually finish the next day. We have been raising dogs for over thirteen years and we place puppies with families across all three Delaware counties.

Available Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies

Everything you see below is a puppy we own and raise inside our own program, not a listing we are passing along from somewhere else. Each one goes home at eight weeks or older, vet checked by Danville Veterinary Clinic, microchipped, current on shots and dewormings, and covered by a written three-year health guarantee for genetic and congenital conditions. Prices run from $1,495 to $2,995 depending on color, coat type, and gender, and financing through Credova is available if you would rather spread the cost out.

You can reserve any available puppy right on the site with a $200 deposit, and we bring puppies to Delaware regularly. We do not keep a waitlist, so puppies go first come, first served, and a puppy listed this morning can be spoken for by this afternoon. If you want to see a puppy before you commit, we set up FaceTime calls.

Puppy Delivery to Delaware

Once your puppy is reserved, we get on the phone with you and sort out how the puppy travels. There are three ways to do it, and for most Delaware families the answer is simple.

Home delivery is what we would point you toward. Delaware sits in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, and at seven to eight hours from the farm the drive falls well inside the next-day window for the East Coast. A professional transport service handles it in a climate-controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier, gets a veterinary check before leaving, and you get updates along the way. The van pulls up to your door in Newark, Milford, or Bethany Beach, which saves you an airport trip entirely. It is our most requested option and the one that makes the most sense for a state this close.

Flight nanny service is the fastest of the three and usually finishes same day. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin next to them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy over to you at baggage claim. Delaware families almost always use Philadelphia International, which sits about a half hour up I-95 from Wilmington and is the closest major airport to most of the state. Baltimore/Washington International works better if you are down around Seaford or Laurel, and Salisbury-Ocean City in Maryland is worth asking about for the lower beaches. Wilmington Airport has limited service and is rarely a fit for connecting a nanny flight. Flight nanny is quoted per flight since airfare moves, and the puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate. Weather delays happen, so some flexibility helps. Mini Doxiedoodles do fine in the cabin since they are small and are not a flat-faced breed, so no airline restrictions apply to them.

Farm pickup is on the table too, though a round trip from Delaware is a long day at roughly fifteen hours of driving. Some families make a weekend of it, and there is something to be gained from being here. You meet the puppy's mother, walk the kennel, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee face to face. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating and a blanket carrying its mother's scent. Visits are by appointment, Monday through Saturday.

Mini Doxiedoodle Puppy Breeder Serving Delaware Families

The Puppy Lodge is owned by the Nisley family in central Ohio. We own every parent dog in our program, and our litters are raised across a small closed network of local kennels near the farm run by breeders who work only with our dogs and follow our health testing, genetic testing, and breeding standards. No puppy we sell comes from outside that group. Every adult dog has been genetically tested and picked for temperament, health, pedigree, and color genetics before it was ever bred.

Being a few states west of you actually helps with this particular cross. We run Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Poodles as separate health-tested breeding programs of our own, so when we put a Mini Doxiedoodle pairing together we know the history behind both sides of it. That matters more here than with most designer crosses because of the back. Dachshunds carry a known risk of intervertebral disc disease, and a puppy that inherits the long low Dachshund frame carries some of that predisposition. We evaluate structure when we decide on pairings, and our three-year guarantee covers genetic and congenital conditions including spinal ones along with hip and elbow. We are not going to tell you the risk is gone, because it is not, but we do plan around it.

Our facilities run climate controlled year round with heated tile floors in winter and geothermal cooling in summer, plus indoor and outdoor play space and separate rooms where mothers stay with their litters. Danville Veterinary Clinic visits on a weekly schedule to check adults and newborns. Every puppy goes through the ENS program from day 3 through day 16, gets handled daily by the family's children, and starts on potty and crate training before it goes home. If you want the full rundown on the cross before you decide, our complete Mini Doxiedoodle guide covers grooming, training, and what to expect as they grow.

Mini Doxiedoodle FAQs Of Delaware Families

Q: Will a Mini Doxiedoodle be alright in a Wilmington apartment?

A: Yes. At 10 to 20 pounds with moderate energy, they adapt well to apartments and condos as long as they get their 30 to 45 minutes of activity each day. The one thing to plan for is noise. They are vocal for their size and will announce the mail carrier, the elevator, and anything moving in the hallway. Early training on when to stop barking makes a big difference in shared walls.

Q: How long does delivery to Delaware take?

A: Home delivery to Delaware is normally a next-day trip since we are only seven to eight hours out, and the flat fee is $350 anywhere in the state. Flight nanny into Philadelphia is usually same day but costs more and gets quoted per flight. We settle the details on a call after your puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.

Q: Are they good with kids and other dogs?

A: They generally are, with early socialization doing most of the work. Ours are handled daily by children from the time they are small, so they arrive used to noise and activity. The thing to teach kids in a hurry is how to pick the puppy up, supporting the chest and the rear together, since the long back on some of these puppies does not take being scooped up under the front legs.

Q: Do they shed much, and will that help with allergies?

A: Shedding is low but not zero. The wavy to curly coat holds loose hair rather than dropping it around the house, which means less dander floating through your rooms. That is often enough for someone with mild allergies and often not enough for someone with severe ones, so nobody should treat it as a guarantee. Spending time around a puppy is the only way to know for sure.

Q: What kind of grooming will a Delaware summer require?

A: Brush a few times a week and book a groomer every six to eight weeks. Mats show up first at the ears, the legs, and the underbelly. Delaware summers get humid, and a damp coat after a beach day at Rehoboth or Dewey needs a proper dry and brush out or it will start to mat. Rinse the salt and sand off before it dries into the curl.

Q: Can we see the puppy before we drive or ship it out?

A: Yes. We do FaceTime calls before you commit, which is how most out-of-state families handle it. If you would rather come in person, we take appointments Monday through Saturday and you can meet the mother while you are here. The father is sometimes not on site when an outside stud was used in the pairing.
