Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies for Sale in Idaho From The Puppy Lodge

Families looking at Mini Doxiedoodle puppies for sale in Idaho end up working with us at The Puppy Lodge, a family run program on a five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio. We have been raising dogs for over 13 years, and the Mini Doxiedoodle is a cross we know well because we own and separately health test both parent breeds, the Miniature Dachshund and the Miniature Poodle.

Idaho sits about 28 to 34 hours of driving from our farm, depending on whether you are down in the Treasure Valley or up in the panhandle near Coeur d'Alene. That distance sounds like a problem until you look at how puppies actually travel. Almost every Idaho family we work with has their puppy flown in-cabin with a nanny and picks it up at Boise or Idaho Falls the same day it leaves Ohio. Nobody drives to Ohio and nobody has to.

These are small dogs, usually 10 to 20 pounds grown, with wavy to curly coats that shed very little. They are smart, funny, chatty, and they attach hard to their people. If you want the full picture on the cross before you go further, read our complete Mini Doxiedoodle guide.

Available Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies

Everything listed below is a puppy that is actually here right now. Prices run $1,495 to $2,995 and move with coat type, color, and gender. You can reserve online with a $200 deposit, and financing through Credova is there if you want to spread the cost out. We do not keep a waitlist, so a puppy stays available until somebody reserves it, and that can happen the same day it posts.

Before you commit, we can set up a FaceTime call so you can watch the puppy move around instead of judging it from photos. That matters more than people expect with this cross, since build varies a lot between littermates. Once a puppy is reserved, we call you and sort out how it gets to Idaho.

Getting Your Puppy Home to Idaho

There are three ways a puppy leaves our farm, and we settle on one during a phone call after you reserve, not during checkout.

Flight Nanny. This is what we recommend for almost everyone in Idaho. A trained handler carries your puppy in the airline cabin in a soft carrier under the seat, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at the terminal. Most of these trips finish the same day. Boise Airport is the usual arrival point, with Idaho Falls Regional serving the eastern side of the state and Spokane International being the practical choice for families in Coeur d'Alene, Sandpoint, and the rest of the panhandle. Pocatello Regional, Lewiston Nez Perce County, and Friedman Memorial near Sun Valley are all options too, though they take more connections. Cost is quoted per flight since airfare and routing change. Requirements are simple: the puppy has to be at least 8 weeks old, under 20 pounds with its carrier, and traveling with a vet issued health certificate that we arrange. A Mini Doxiedoodle puppy is nowhere near that weight limit at go-home age, and because it has a normal muzzle rather than a flat face, no airline is going to turn it away for breed reasons.

Home Delivery. If you would rather skip the airport, a professional transport service drives the puppy to your door in a climate controlled van. Idaho falls in our national pricing tier at a flat $450. Given the distance, plan on two to three days on the road depending on the route the driver takes across the mountains. Your puppy rides in its own carrier, gets a vet check before leaving, and you get updates along the way. In winter this is worth thinking through, since a driver coming into Idaho may be dealing with snow over the passes and timing can shift by a day.

Farm Pickup. You are welcome to come get your puppy in Ohio by appointment. Realistically that is a cross country trip for an Idaho family, and only a handful do it, usually when they are already traveling east. If you do come, you get a tour, you meet the mother, and we go through the health guarantee, microchip registration, and vaccine records in person. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating and a blanket that smells like its mom.

Mini Doxiedoodle Puppy Breeder Serving Idaho Families

We are not local to you, and there are breeders closer to Boise than we are. What we offer instead is a program where both sides of the cross are known quantities. We own the parent dogs, and the Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Poodles behind our Mini Doxiedoodles are health tested and genetically tested as their own separate breeding programs before any pairing happens. That is different from a litter that came out of two pet dogs that happened to be available.

Litters are raised across a small closed network of kennels near our farm. Those breeders work only with our dogs and follow our health testing and raising standards, and no puppy we sell comes from anywhere outside that group. Our vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic comes out on a set weekly schedule to look over adults and new litters. The buildings are climate controlled with heated tile floors through the Ohio winter and geothermal cooling in summer, and mothers have their own rooms with their litters for the first weeks.

With this cross specifically, structure is the thing we pay attention to. Dachshunds carry a well documented risk of spinal disc disease, and it travels genetically with the short legs. A Mini Doxiedoodle that inherits the long low Dachshund frame carries some of that. One built more like the Poodle side carries less. We factor build into how we pair dogs, and we will tell you plainly what a given pairing has produced. Every puppy is covered by a written three year health guarantee on genetic and congenital conditions, spinal ones included, plus hips and elbows.

Every puppy also goes through the Early Neurological Stimulation protocol from day three through day sixteen, gets handled and played with daily by our kids, and starts crate and potty training before it goes home at a minimum of 8 weeks.

Mini Doxiedoodle FAQs Of Idaho Families

Q: How much does it cost to get a Mini Doxiedoodle to Idaho?

A: Ground delivery to any Idaho address is a flat $450. Flight nanny service is quoted per trip because it depends on the airport and what flights are running, and it usually costs more than ground but gets the puppy to you in a single day. We go over both numbers on the phone once your puppy is reserved so you can pick based on cost and timing.

Q: Which airport should I plan on?

A: Boise for the southwest and the Treasure Valley, Idaho Falls for the eastern side, and Spokane International for anyone in the northern panhandle. Coeur d'Alene and Sandpoint families almost always use Spokane since it is the closest major hub. If you are near Twin Falls or Sun Valley we can look at Friedman Memorial, though connections there are thinner.

Q: Will a Mini Doxiedoodle handle Idaho winters?

A: They are small dogs with wavy to curly coats and no heavy undercoat, so they get cold quickly and they do not love deep snow. A coat for walks and a shoveled path in the yard covers most of it. The bigger winter issue is exercise, since these dogs still need 30 to 45 minutes a day and a January in McCall or Driggs makes that harder. Puzzle toys, scent games, and short training sessions indoors fill the gap well, because mental work tires this cross out about as fast as walking does.

Q: Can I hike with one in the foothills?

A: Some, but be sensible about it. Flat, level walking suits their build best, and a dog with a long back should not be pounding down steep grades or jumping off rocks. The Greenbelt along the Boise River is a much better fit than a climb up Table Rock. Use a harness instead of a collar, keep the dog lean, and use ramps at home rather than letting it jump off the couch. Those habits do more for a long backed dog than anything else.

Q: Are they good in an apartment in Boise?

A: Yes, size and energy level both work fine in an apartment or condo. The thing to know is that they are vocal. They will announce the hallway, the delivery driver, and anything moving outside the window. That is manageable with training started early, but it is worth knowing before you sign a lease with thin walls.

Q: Do they shed, and will they work for allergies?

A: Shedding is low, not zero. The curlier coat traps loose hair instead of dropping it around the house, which means less dander floating in the air. That is often enough for mild or moderate allergies and often not enough for severe ones, and no dog is fully hypoallergenic. F1b puppies carry more Poodle and usually have the tightest curl and the least shedding. Spending time around one is the only way to know for sure.

Q: What if there are no puppies listed right now?

A: Since we do not run a waitlist, the newsletter is how you hear about the next Mini Doxiedoodle litter before it fills up. You pick which breeds you want to hear about and whether you would rather get a text or an email. You can also call or text us at 330-790-5007 and we will tell you what is coming and roughly when.
