Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Washington

The Puppy Lodge has Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Washington, and even though our farm sits in Fresno, Ohio, a flight nanny can carry your puppy in the cabin to an airport in your part of the state. Home delivery by van reaches any Washington address as well.

Full grown, one of our Mini Poodles reaches 10 to 15 pounds and 10 to 15 inches at the shoulder, with a sturdy, athletic frame that can handle an easy trail near Leavenworth. Very little hair ends up on your floors, though the curls need grooming on a regular schedule. A dog this size is comfortable in a Tacoma condo or on a few acres outside Spokane, as long as it gets a good walk and some training every day.

Reserving a Miniature Poodle Puppy From Washington

The Mini Poodles on this page are sold through our website, where you can reserve one and pay online. Pricing opens at $1,995, and a puppy's color, coat type, and gender decide its final amount. To hold one, you pay $200 up front as a non-refundable deposit, and if your plans change afterward, that money can go toward another available puppy instead.

Nobody holds a place on a waitlist with us, so whoever reserves first gets the puppy, sometimes on the day it is posted. If you would rather not pay all at once, you can apply online for financing with Credova. Puppies are ready to leave once they are 8 weeks old, and we handle the delivery to Washington.

Getting Your Miniature Poodle Puppy to Washington

The drive from our farm to Washington runs 33 to 38 hours, depending on whether the puppy is headed to Spokane or to the coast. Because the trip is so long, a flight nanny is our first suggestion for most Washington homes. Once your deposit is in, we talk by phone about which way your puppy should travel.

No matter how your puppy gets to Washington, we pack a bag of its current food and a blanket that holds its mother's scent. Mix that food with the brand you plan to feed at home so the change in diet is gradual.

Flying With a Nanny Into a Washington Airport

Flying keeps your puppy in the passenger cabin the whole way, tucked into an airline approved soft carrier that sits under the seat in front of its handler. The cargo hold is never part of the trip. You can follow along through photos and video sent during the flight. The nanny flies into Seattle-Tacoma International, Spokane International, Tri-Cities Airport in Pasco, or Bellingham International, and hands your puppy over at baggage claim.

Beforehand, a licensed vet fills out your puppy's health certificate. To fly with the nanny service, a puppy has to be 8 weeks or older and weigh under 20 pounds counting its carrier, a limit a young Mini Poodle clears easily. Snow and ice over the Cascades can bump a flight, so please leave some room in your schedule. This option runs higher than the van, and each flight is quoted separately.

Door to Door by Van

The van option costs around $450 to Washington, and a professional pet transport service does the driving. Two drivers ride along on every run in the custom climate-controlled van. Your puppy is vet checked in Ohio before the trip starts and stays in its own carrier until it reaches you. The drivers keep you posted along the way and hand the puppy over at your front door.

The van suits towns like Colville, Omak, Port Angeles, and Aberdeen, which are a good drive from the big airports. In winter, snow on Snoqualmie Pass can slow the last leg of a trip to the Seattle side.

Picking Up in Fresno, Ohio

You can pick up your puppy in Fresno by appointment, and at the farm we go through its vaccination records and microchip registration with you. From Washington the round trip means several days on the road, so pickup mainly makes sense if you were already planning to be back East.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Washington Families

We are the Nisleys of Fresno, Ohio, with over 13 years of raising dogs and 50+ Google reviews from past buyers. Our broker license covers the puppies we sell, and they all come from a closed group of kennels near our farm. Each kennel keeps only Puppy Lodge dogs, works to our care and testing standards, and takes in no puppy from outside. Every parent dog belongs to The Puppy Lodge, with the occasional outside stud as the exception.

Any pairing comes after health and genetic testing on both parents, which looks for inherited conditions such as progressive retinal atrophy. The odds go down with screening, though no breeder can rule the risk out for good, and we prefer to say so plainly. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet sees the adult dogs and new litters each week, since knee and eye problems in a small breed often show up at a checkup first. Along with daily handling, the puppies get early neurological stimulation from day 3 through day 16. By the time they head west, crate and potty training is underway.

Buying from a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving Washington from Ohio often means meeting your puppy on delivery day. That is why we tell you a litter's coat type, adult size range, and health profile before it is born. Each puppy goes home with a written three year health guarantee.

FAQs Of Washington Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: How does the coat hold up in the rain west of the Cascades?

A: The coat is a single layer of tight curls with no undercoat, and damp curls mat faster than dry ones, so towel and blow dry your dog after a wet walk. Brush every other day, and check behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar, since mats start there first. Every four to six weeks your dog will need a professional groom, which typically costs $50 to $80. Asking the groomer for a short sporting clip leaves less coat to dry after the next rainy walk.

Q: Can a Mini Poodle stay home alone while I commute?

A: Being left for an entire workday is hard on a Mini Poodle. It needs 45 to 60 minutes of exercise a day plus something to think about, and a bored one will often bark. If you commute downtown or across Lake Washington, plan on a dog walker, daycare, or a midday visit. Ten minutes of trick training in the evening can tire your dog more than an extra mile on the Burke-Gilman Trail.

Q: Will our puppy want to swim in the lakes and Puget Sound?

A: Poodles began as water dogs in Germany, fetching ducks for hunters, and most Minis still swim naturally. Their drop ears trap moisture, so dry them gently after a dip in Lake Chelan or the Sound to help prevent infections. After salt water, rinse the coat with fresh water.

Q: How long do Mini Poodles live, and what health problems should we watch for?

A: A healthy Mini Poodle usually lives 12 to 15 years. Patellar luxation, eye disease, Addison's disease, and dental problems are among the conditions seen in the breed. Keeping your dog lean and brushing its teeth at home both help, and regular vet visits catch problems early. You will find more on health, grooming, and training in our complete Miniature Poodle guide.

Q: Can we meet the puppy or its parents before it comes to Washington?

A: Before you commit, we can FaceTime so you can see the puppy moving around and ask us anything. Seeing the puppy and its mother in person means a trip to Ohio, and visits run Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm by appointment. You may not meet the father, since we bring in an outside stud now and then to strengthen the program.
