Reputable Golden Retriever Breeder Serving Roselle, NJ

Families looking for Golden Retriever puppies for sale in Roselle, New Jersey are giving that thick double coat a job it was actually designed to do. In warm climates, people spend a lot of time managing Golden's exercise around the heat. Here, the coat earns its keep. It keeps your Golden warm in the cold months, dry in the rain, and comfortable through temperature swings that would bother breeds with thinner coats. You still brush regularly because that's part of owning a Golden anywhere, but you're not fighting humidity matting it up or worrying about overheating. The coat just works the way it's supposed to in Roselle's climate. The summer shedding season happens, but the rest of the year, maintenance is straightforward. We're Purdue University-certified, and every litter is from healthy, genetically tested parents. They receive ENS and socialization, and every puppy comes with our 3-year health guarantee. We deliver through flight nannies to your local airport, ground delivery to your door, or pickup at our farm.

Why Roselle Families Choose The Puppy Lodge for Their Golden Retriever

A Golden Retriever’s temperament is everything, and that temperament starts with how they’re raised in their first weeks of life. Our puppies are raised in our kennel with our seven kids playing with them every day. They are holding them, playing with them, and getting them used to the noise and activity of a busy family. That kind of early socialization is what produces the confident, easygoing Golden that people fall in love with. By the time your puppy leaves our farm, it already knows what family life feels like.

Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation between days 3 and 16, which strengthens cardiovascular development, builds stress tolerance, and improves immune response. For a breed widely used as service, therapy, and search-and-rescue dogs, that early foundation matters. Even if your Golden is going to be a family companion, ENS gives them a real advantage in handling new environments and experiences.

All of our parent dogs are healthy and genetically tested before they ever have a litter. We stand behind every puppy with a 3-year health guarantee. Our vet at Danville Veterinary Clinic visits our kennel every week, and we’re certified through the Purdue University Canine Care Program, one of the few breeders in the country who can say that. Purdue’s team inspects our facilities, our breeding practices, and the way we raise our puppies, and we’ve always exceeded their requirements.

Golden Retrievers are very active and need room to move. Our farm sits on five acres in Central Ohio. We have large play areas for our adult dogs and puppies to run and play.  Our kennel is climate-controlled, with heated tile floors in winter and geothermal cooling in summer. Every puppy gets delivered with up-to-date vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, and with a blanket carrying mom’s scent. We’ve been doing this for over 13 years, we welcome visitors by appointment, and we deliver puppies nationwide right to your door.

About Golden Retrievers

The Golden Retriever is a medium to large sporting breed that was originally developed in the Scottish Highlands for retrieving waterfowl. Males generally stand 23 to 24 inches at the shoulder and weigh between 65 and 75 pounds. Females are slightly smaller at 21 to 22 inches and 55 to 65 pounds. This breed is one of the smartest in the dog world and is known for being easy to train, which is a big reason why Goldens are so widely used as service dogs, therapy dogs, and in search and rescue work. Their temperament is naturally gentle, patient, and social. They do very well with children of all ages and typically get along great with other dogs and household pets. Goldens have a thick double coat that is water resistant and ranges from light cream to a deep golden color. They do shed year round and shed heavily during the spring and fall, so regular brushing two to three times a week is important. This is a high energy breed that needs a solid 60 to 90 minutes of exercise every day. That can include walks, swimming, fetch, or any kind of active outdoor time. When properly cared for with routine vet visits and quality nutrition, Golden Retrievers typically live 10 to 13 years.
