Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Florida

You will find Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Florida on this page, and each one comes from The Puppy Lodge in Fresno, Ohio, about 80 miles east of Columbus. The parents are health and genetically tested, and every puppy is vet checked, microchipped, and current on its vaccinations and dewormings when it leaves us.

Our kennels are several states north of Florida. Because of that, your puppy comes to you in a transport van or flies down in the airplane cabin with a flight nanny. Families who would rather make the trip themselves can also collect a puppy at the farm.

How Florida Families Reserve a Miniature Poodle Puppy

Reserving happens on our website, where you can look through the listings below, pick the puppy you like, and pay. The starting price is $1,995. Color, coat type, and gender decide how far above that a given puppy is priced. Holding a puppy takes a $200 deposit. That money is non-refundable, though we can move it to another available puppy if the first one stops working for you.

Since there is no waitlist, a listed puppy is open to whoever reserves it first. You can also put a pick on a litter that has not been born yet. Seeing a puppy on FaceTime before you commit is easy to arrange, and Credova financing lets you split the price into payments after an online application. Once your puppy is 8 weeks or older, it can travel to you in Florida by any of the options below.

Florida Delivery and Pickup for Your Miniature Poodle Puppy

As a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving Florida from Ohio, we are about 12 to 19 hours away by road, with Jacksonville near the short end of that range and Miami near the long end. Once the deposit is in, we call and choose one of the options below with you. Whichever option you pick, your puppy brings a blanket that holds its mother's scent. A bag of the food it eats now goes along as well, so you can move it to a new food gradually.

Door-to-Door Van Delivery for Most of Florida

For most Florida homes we recommend the van, since it comes straight to your door and skips the airport. The fee is around $350. Two drivers from a professional pet transport service make the long drive south together. Before setting out, your puppy gets a vet check. On the road it has a carrier to itself in a custom climate-controlled van, and the drivers keep you posted as they go. The delivery date gets picked with you beforehand, and the whole trip is planned around your puppy arriving safely.

Flight Nanny Service to Florida Airports

For homes in South Florida, a flight nanny can be the better choice. With this option, a trained handler boards a commercial flight with your puppy and keeps it in the passenger cabin, in an airline-approved soft carrier stowed under the seat ahead of them. The cargo hold is never part of the trip. Expect photos and video along the way, and plan to meet the handler at baggage claim. Florida airports that can work include Miami International, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, Palm Beach International, Southwest Florida International in Fort Myers, Tampa International, Orlando International, and Jacksonville International.

Flying gets a puppy to you faster than the van does. The nanny service prices each flight individually, and the cost comes in above ground delivery. Its rules call for a puppy of at least 8 weeks that weighs under 20 pounds in its carrier. Our Mini Poodle puppies are small at that age and come in well under the limit. We also arrange the health certificate, which a licensed vet has to sign ahead of travel. Summer storms and hurricane season, which runs June through November, can delay flights, so it helps to keep the date a little flexible.

Driving North to Our Fresno Farm

If a trip north is already on your calendar, you can come to the kennel for your puppy. Appointments run from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and we are closed Sundays. Once you arrive, feel free to tour the facility. Your puppy's vaccination records and microchip registration go home with you, and we cover the health guarantee in person while you are there.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Florida Families

We, the Nisley family, have raised dogs on our five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio, for over 13 years. We work under a broker license, since every Mini Poodle litter we offer comes out of a closed group of kennels in the surrounding area. Those kennels keep no dogs but ours, meet our standard for health testing, genetic testing, and care, and never take in a puppy from outside. The Puppy Lodge owns the parent dogs, apart from the occasional outside stud.

Before any pairing, the parents are tested for inherited conditions, including patellar luxation, a kneecap problem in small breeds. No breeder can rule the risk out completely. Screening lowers the odds, and we would rather say that than promise more. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet makes a weekly round of the kennels, checking the grown dogs and the newborns. Each litter starts early neurological stimulation on day 3 and keeps it up through day 16. Someone handles and plays with the puppies each day, and potty and crate training get started at the kennel.

Because every parent is tested, we can go over a specific puppy's mother and father with you before you reserve. Our 50+ Google reviews are open to read, and your puppy's paperwork includes a written three year health guarantee.

FAQs Of Florida Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: How does a Mini Poodle handle a humid Florida summer?

A: A Mini Poodle has no undercoat, only a single curly layer, and keeping that layer in a short sporting clip helps your dog stay cooler through a Florida summer. Save longer walks for early morning or evening between June and September, because the sidewalk holds heat through the afternoon.

Q: Will our puppy take to the backyard pool?

A: Poodles were bred in Germany to fetch ducks from the water, and most Mini Poodles are natural swimmers as a result. Show your puppy the pool steps and stay beside it for the first few swims. Moisture sits in a Poodle's drop ears, so dry them after each swim or bath.

Q: Can a Mini Poodle live happily in a Florida condo?

A: A condo can suit a Mini Poodle if someone covers its exercise and brain work each day. Budget 45 to 60 minutes a day for walks and play, and add a puzzle feeder or a quick training game on top. Our puppies grow into dogs that are fairly quiet indoors, though they will announce visitors. Nonstop barking usually means the dog needs more to do. A full workday alone is too long, so line up a walker or a midday check-in if everyone is out.

Q: What does coat care look like for a Mini Poodle?

A: Mats start in the places that get friction, such as behind the ears, under the legs, and under the collar, so brush those spots every other day. Grooming appointments should come around every 4 to 6 weeks and cost roughly $50 to $80 each. The coat keeps growing for life, so the grooming schedule never ends. Once a mat sets, shaving is usually the only fix. Our Miniature Poodle guide for new owners covers coat care and training in more depth.

Q: Can we meet the parents if we drive up from Florida?

A: Plan the visit ahead, and we will have your puppy and its mother ready to meet you. You may not meet the father, since we bring in an outside stud now and then to strengthen the program.
