A:Pickup day is one of our favorite parts. You'll meet the full litter, spend time with your puppy and the parent dogs, and get a feel for their personality before you head home. Every puppy leaves with a go-home kit that includes everything you need for the first few days. For the car ride back, we recommend bringing a crate or a travel carrier, a towel, and a few extra stops planned along the way. Puppies usually sleep most of the drive, especially with that blanket that still smells like mom.

A:For Indiana families, we're basically a local breeder. The drive is only 3 to 6 hours, and plenty of folks come out by appointment, meet the parent dogs, and take their puppy home the same day. Here's what you'd be walking into. We're a family of nine, five girls, two boys, and two parents, raising puppies on five acres in the rolling hills of Central Ohio for over 13 years. Our kids are in the whelping room and the play yard every day, so puppies are handled from the moment they're born. The kennel has heated tile floors in winter and geothermal cooling in summer and has been remodeled several times over the years. We're certified through the Purdue University Canine Care Program, which is a short drive from you in West Lafayette, and their veterinary team inspects our facility and our practices. Our own vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic comes weekly. Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation between days 3 and 16, and all parent dogs are health and genetic tested.
