Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in New York

The Puppy Lodge in Fresno, Ohio, has Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in New York and gets each one to its new home, upstate or downstate. A van or a flight nanny can do the traveling, and families who would rather drive can pick up at our five acre farm in Coshocton County.

Before a puppy leaves, it has been vet checked and microchipped, its vaccinations and dewormings are up to date, and its health record goes with it. Every day the puppies are handled and played with, so being held is familiar to them by the time they meet a new family. For daily life with a Mini Poodle, our guide to what you should know before bringing a Miniature Poodle home is a good place to start.

Choosing a Miniature Poodle Puppy for Your New York Home

Our Mini Poodles begin at $1,995, and where each one lands above that depends on its color, coat type, and gender. If you would rather pay over time, Credova financing is available. Reserving one online takes a $200 deposit. It is non-refundable, but if you decide you want another available puppy instead, we move the deposit over to that one.

There is no waitlist. Each listing goes to whoever reserves it first, so a puppy you are still thinking over can be taken by another family in the meantime. A FaceTime call before you reserve lets you see how a puppy moves and plays. When a puppy turns 8 weeks old it can come home to you, and we handle delivery anywhere in New York.

How We Deliver Miniature Poodle Puppies Across New York

After you reserve, we set up a phone call to choose how your puppy gets home. The drive from Fresno takes 5 to 10 hours depending on where you live, with Western New York on the short end and eastern Long Island and the North Country on the long end. We send a blanket carrying the mother's scent home with every puppy. A bag of its kennel food goes along too, which makes a slow switch to a new food easier.

Van Delivery to Your Door

Home delivery is the option we recommend for nearly every New York address. Two drivers ride in every custom climate-controlled van, and the professional pet transport service they work for handles the whole drive. A vet checks your puppy before it leaves Ohio. For the entire ride it has its own carrier, and updates reach you while it is on the road.

New York City is about 478 miles from our farm, Albany about 557, and Montauk about 594. Delivery to any of them is around $350. For a Brooklyn walk-up or a town an hour from the nearest airport, the van still comes door to door on the date we set with you.

Picking Up in Fresno

Jamestown is about 222 miles from Fresno, and Buffalo is about 279 miles, or roughly five and a half hours by car, so families in Chautauqua, Erie, and Niagara counties can come get their puppy in person. The farm is closed Sundays, but pickup appointments are available Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. While you are at the farm we can show you around the kennel, and we explain the puppy's vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee face to face before the drive back.

Flying With a Nanny

Of the three options, a flight nanny is the fastest to New York, though the price runs higher than van delivery and we quote it for each flight. Your puppy flies in the cabin beside a trained handler, who keeps the airline-approved soft carrier under the seat in front. Nothing rides in cargo. You meet the handler at baggage claim, and photos and video come to your phone along the way.

The flight can land at JFK, LaGuardia, Long Island MacArthur, Westchester County, Albany International, Syracuse Hancock, Greater Rochester, or Buffalo Niagara. To travel with a nanny, your puppy must be 8 weeks or older with a health certificate signed by a licensed vet, and puppy and carrier together must weigh under 20 pounds. A Mini Poodle puppy that age stays well inside that limit. Lake-effect snow around Buffalo and Syracuse can push winter flights back, so we ask for some flexibility on the date.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving New York Families

We are the Nisley family, and we have raised dogs in Fresno for more than 13 years. We hold a broker license, and our Mini Poodles come from a closed group of kennels in the Fresno area whose breeders keep no dogs but ours and follow our standards for health testing, genetics, and care. Puppies from outside that group are never listed. Apart from the occasional outside stud, every parent dog is owned by The Puppy Lodge.

Parents get health and genetic testing before any pairing, which checks for conditions like patellar luxation and also for the coat and color traits a puppy can inherit. What testing does is lower the likelihood rather than remove it. No breeder can promise more, and we would rather set that expectation now. A standing weekly visit from Danville Veterinary Clinic covers the adult dogs and newborn litters in the kennels. Every litter gets early neurological stimulation from day 3 until day 16. Each puppy also comes with a written three year health guarantee.

As a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving New York from eastern Ohio, we are close enough that Buffalo and Jamestown families can come see us in person. Families in Albany or on Long Island can talk through the parents' testing with us by phone and look over more than 50 Google reviews from past buyers before deciding.

FAQs Of New York Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: Can we visit and meet the puppy's parents?

A: Visits are by appointment, and you can meet your puppy's mother. The father will not always be there to meet, since an outside stud service is used once in a while to strengthen the program. We are glad to tell you about him on the phone before you put down a deposit.

Q: What does coat care look like through a New York winter?

A: A groomer should see a Mini Poodle every four to six weeks, usually for about $50 to $80, and you will brush it at home several times a week in between. The coat has no undercoat, so a Mini Poodle gets cold faster than a double-coated dog, and a sweater helps on January walks around Buffalo or Syracuse. Snow clumps in the curls, and toweling those clumps out when you come inside keeps the coat from matting. Wiping the paws after salted sidewalks is a good habit too.

Q: Can a Mini Poodle live in a city apartment if we both commute?

A: Apartment life suits a Mini Poodle as long as it gets 45 to 60 minutes of exercise a day plus short training sessions or puzzle feeders. It stays quiet indoors when those needs are met, and extra barking is usually a sign of boredom. Between a full shift and a ride on the subway or Metro-North, the day runs too long for a puppy to be alone, so line up daycare, a dog walker, or a midday visit from someone you trust.

Q: Will our puppy want to swim at the lake?

A: The breed began in Germany retrieving ducks, and most Mini Poodles take to swimming. After a day at one of the Finger Lakes or a Long Island beach, dry your puppy's ears well, because drop ears hold moisture.

Q: Does New York require a dog license?

A: New York State requires a license once a dog turns four months old. You apply through your town, city, or village with proof of rabies vaccination, and in New York City the license comes from the Health Department. Your local vet will give the rabies shot once your puppy is old enough, and that record is what the clerk will ask to see.
