Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Arkansas

Our Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Arkansas come from a small circle of kennels around Fresno, Ohio, all tied to our program. A puppy leaves us microchipped and vet checked, with its vaccinations and dewormings up to date and a health record in its name. The curly coat sheds very little because it keeps growing and holds onto loose hair, though it does need regular grooming. Arkansas is on the far side of the Mississippi River from us, and a puppy can reach you in a pet transport van or with a flight nanny, or you can drive up and collect it in person.

Reserving One of Our Miniature Poodle Puppies in Arkansas

Listed prices begin at $1,995, and the exact figure depends on the puppy's color, coat type, and gender. Putting down a $200 deposit reserves your choice. It is non-refundable, but if something changes on your end, we can put it toward another available puppy.

There is no waitlist to join, so whoever reserves a listed puppy first gets it, and picks from upcoming litters can be claimed before those puppies are born. Before deciding, you can watch a puppy on FaceTime with us. Credova financing is also an option through a short online form. At eight weeks or older each puppy is ready for its new home, and any puppy on this page can be delivered to Arkansas.

How We Get a Miniature Poodle Puppy to Arkansas

Depending on your town, the road trip from Fresno takes somewhere between 11 and 15 hours. Jonesboro and the northeast corner sit near the short end of that range, and the western and southwestern parts of the state sit near the long end. Once you reserve, we talk through the options by phone and settle on one together. Every puppy travels with a blanket that carries its mother's scent. It also comes with a bag of the food it eats now, so you can switch its diet slowly.

The Van Delivery We Suggest for Arkansas

For most of Arkansas we suggest home delivery, which costs around $450. First a vet checks the puppy over, and then a professional pet transport service takes it the whole way in a custom climate-controlled van with two drivers aboard. It rides in a carrier of its own while the drivers send you updates, and it is handed to you at your door on the date we agree on. Nobody has to drive to an airport, which helps families in small towns far from Little Rock or Bentonville.

Making the Trip to Fresno Yourself

Pickup happens by appointment. At the kennel we hand over the vaccination records, show you how the microchip is registered, and walk through the health guarantee face to face. You are welcome to look around the facility while you are there. From Arkansas this is a long haul, so plan it as an overnight trip.

Flying With a Nanny

A flight nanny gets a puppy to you faster than the van does, and the price is higher. Each trip is quoted per flight. In the cabin of a commercial flight, a trained handler keeps the puppy in an airline-approved soft carrier that fits under the seat ahead of them. The cargo hold is never part of the trip. You get photos and video along the way, and the handoff happens at baggage claim at Clinton National Airport in Little Rock or Northwest Arkansas National Airport. Before takeoff, a licensed vet provides the health certificate the puppy needs to fly. Weather can push a flight back, so it helps to keep your plans a little loose. To fly with a nanny, a puppy has to weigh under 20 pounds including its carrier, and an eight week old Mini Poodle is small enough to clear that easily.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Arkansas Families

The Nisley family has spent more than 13 years raising dogs on a five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio. Our litters come from a closed group of nearby kennels, including the original one on our property, and The Puppy Lodge works with them under a broker license. The families in that group keep no dogs but ours, and every litter they raise is held to the same health testing, genetic testing, and breeding rules. No puppy from outside the group is ever added. The Puppy Lodge owns the parent dogs, and the one exception is an outside stud used now and then.

Before any pairing, both Mini Poodle parents go through health and genetic testing that looks for inherited conditions like patellar luxation. The odds go down with screening, though no breeder can rule the risk out for good, and we prefer to say so plainly. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet examines the adults and new litters every week. Our puppies go through early neurological stimulation between day 3 and day 16. The puppies are handled every day and start crate and potty training before they leave.

As a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving Arkansas from Ohio, we can tell you which dogs are behind your puppy and what they were tested for. Each puppy goes home with a written three year health guarantee. Anyone can read our 50+ Google reviews.

FAQs Of Arkansas Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: Will a Mini Poodle enjoy the Ozark trails and the Buffalo River?

A: A grown Mini Poodle is sturdy enough for day hikes in the Ozarks, and most of these dogs take to the water, since the breed started out retrieving ducks in Germany. The 45 to 60 minutes of exercise it needs each day can easily come from a trail walk or a swim along the Buffalo River. After a swim, dry the drop ears well so moisture doesn't stay trapped. Check the coat for burrs and ticks too, because the curls catch whatever brushes past.

Q: How do we keep the coat manageable through an Arkansas summer?

A: The sporting clip is the most common Poodle cut, and it keeps the coat short all over for the hot months. At home, a brushing every other day keeps mats from forming behind the ears, under the legs, and around the collar. A tangle that is left to set often has to be shaved out. Budget $50 to $80 for each professional groom, and schedule one every four to six weeks.

Q: How big will our puppy get, and how long will it live?

A: Adult Mini Poodles stand 10 to 15 inches at the shoulder and weigh 10 to 15 pounds. A puppy usually reaches full height between 9 and 12 months and fills out by about 18 months. Parent screening tells us the adult size range for a litter before it is born, and we can share that on a call. With good care, a Mini Poodle often lives 12 to 15 years. Health, training, and daily care are covered in our Miniature Poodle guide for new owners.

Q: Can our puppy's coat color change after it comes home?

A: It can. Red can lighten toward apricot, black can clear to silver or blue, and brown can fade toward cafe au lait over the first couple of years. None of this is a health concern. If you have your heart set on one color, call us and we will tell you how coats have changed in that puppy's parent lines.

Q: Can we meet the parents before we choose?

A: With an appointment, you can visit Monday through Saturday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm and meet the mother along with your puppy. The father will not always be there to meet, since an outside stud service is used once in a while to strengthen the program. We can still go over his testing with you by phone.
