Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Tennessee

The Puppy Lodge has Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Tennessee, each one from genetically tested parents and raised at kennels near our farm in Fresno, a small town in Coshocton County, Ohio. As adults they finish at a height of 10 to 15 inches and a weight of 10 to 15 pounds, a size that fits a Knoxville townhouse as easily as a house with a yard outside Murfreesboro. The curly coat sheds very little, although it needs steady grooming. Bristol, which sits right on the Virginia line, is the nearest Tennessee city to us at about 356 miles.

How Tennessee Families Reserve a Miniature Poodle Puppy

Prices for the puppies below start at $1,995. We skip the waitlist entirely, so a puppy belongs to whichever family reserves it first with a $200 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable, but it carries over if you decide on another puppy we still have listed.

A FaceTime call can be arranged if you would like to see a puppy on video first. Financing through Credova is also available. Puppies are old enough to travel at 8 weeks, and we deliver statewide in Tennessee.

Getting Your Miniature Poodle Home to Tennessee

The drive south from our farm takes 6 to 10 hours. As a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving Tennessee, we can bring your puppy by van, send it with a flight nanny, or meet you at the farm for pickup, and we settle on one together by phone once you reserve. Your puppy brings a blanket carrying its mother's scent, plus a bag of the food it already eats. You can use that food to change brands gradually if you plan to switch.

Door-to-Door Van Delivery Across Tennessee

We suggest the van for Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville, and the towns between them. The custom climate-controlled van is run by a professional pet transport service, and a vet looks each puppy over before it settles into its own carrier. Two drivers ride along every time, and they send updates as they head south before bringing your puppy right to your door. The fee to anywhere in the state is around $350, and the trip is set for a date we agree on with you.

A Flight Nanny Into Memphis or Another Tennessee Airport

Memphis is the far end of the state for us at roughly 649 miles, so West Tennessee families may prefer to have a trained handler fly the puppy in. For the whole commercial flight your puppy stays in the cabin, in an airline-approved soft carrier under the seat in front, and photos and video come to you along the way. The cargo hold is never part of the trip. You meet the handler at baggage claim at Memphis International, Nashville International, McGhee Tyson near Knoxville, Chattanooga Metropolitan, or Tri-Cities Airport in Blountville.

Weight is not a concern, since an 8 week old Mini Poodle in its carrier is far below the nanny service's 20 pound cap. A licensed vet completes the puppy's health certificate before it flies. The price depends on the flight we book, and it comes out higher than the van. Spring and summer storms can hold up flights through Memphis and Nashville, so a little room in your schedule helps.

Driving North to Our Farm

Pickup fits best for the Tri-Cities. From Johnson City or Kingsport, the round trip to Fresno can be done in one very long day in the car, while a family from Nashville would want an overnight stop. We set pickups by appointment, and you are welcome to tour the facility during yours. That time together also lets us explain the health guarantee face to face and hand you the vaccination records and microchip registration directly.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Tennessee Families

Raising dogs has been the Nisley family's work on their Fresno farm for over 13 years. We hold a broker license because a closed circle of nearby kennels raises our Mini Poodle litters. No dogs but ours are kept there, and one standard for health testing, genetics, and care applies to every kennel. Every puppy we sell is born within that circle. The parent dogs are all owned by The Puppy Lodge, aside from a stud brought in from outside now and again.

Each parent is health and genetically tested before a pairing, partly to guard against eye and knee problems like progressive retinal atrophy and patellar luxation. What testing does is lower the likelihood rather than remove it. No breeder can promise more, and we would rather set that expectation now.

A standing weekly appointment brings Danville Veterinary Clinic to the kennels for the adult dogs and new litters. From day 3 to day 16, each litter's routine includes early neurological stimulation. By the time a puppy heads to Tennessee, it has been handled and played with every day and has started potty and crate training.

A Tennessee family buying from Ohio gets a puppy raised under the same rules as every litter in the group, along with a written three year health guarantee. Our 50+ Google reviews are public, so you can see what earlier buyers wrote.

FAQs Of Tennessee Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: How do we keep a Mini Poodle comfortable through a Tennessee summer?

A: Many owners keep a Mini Poodle in a short sporting clip through the summer. Save walks for the early morning or the evening in July, when midday sidewalks in Memphis and Nashville can burn a small dog's paws. Plenty of Mini Poodles take to water, and a swim at Percy Priest Lake near Nashville or Norris Lake north of Knoxville is an easy way to cool down. Water sits in drop ears, so dry them with a towel once your dog is out of the lake.

Q: Can we visit and meet the parents before we buy?

A: Yes, with an appointment. We welcome visitors from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm every day but Sunday, and you can meet the puppy and its mother. Sometimes the father is elsewhere, because an outside stud is occasionally used to strengthen the program.

Q: Can our Mini Poodle hike with us in the Smokies?

A: Great Smoky Mountains National Park allows leashed dogs on just two trails, and the Gatlinburg Trail from Sugarlands Visitor Center is the one on the Tennessee side. Backbone Rock Recreation Area, a Cherokee National Forest site near Shady Valley, has hiking trails and asks that pets stay on a leash of 6 feet or less. A grown Mini Poodle can handle trails like these, and a hike counts toward the 45 to 60 minutes of exercise it needs each day.

Q: How often does the coat need grooming?

A: Mats form first in friction spots like the armpits, behind the ears, and under a collar, and any that are left to set usually have to be shaved out. Brushing several times a week keeps them from getting that far. A groomer should see the coat every 4 to 6 weeks, at around $50 to $80 a visit. Our Miniature Poodle guide has more about grooming and everyday care.

Q: What shots will our puppy still need under Tennessee law?

A: Tennessee requires a rabies vaccine by six months of age, and a puppy arriving at 8 weeks is still too young for it. The health record that comes with your puppy lists its vaccinations and dewormings to date. Your local vet can use it to plan the rabies shot and the rest of the first year.
