Miniature Poodle Puppies for Sale in Kentucky

The Puppy Lodge, a family program based in Coshocton County, Ohio, has Miniature Poodle puppies for sale in Kentucky. A puppy from us will reach about 10 to 15 pounds as an adult and stand 10 to 15 inches at the shoulder, and its curly coat drops very little hair. Each one gets a microchip, a vet exam, and its vaccinations and dewormings on schedule, and all of that goes into a health record that travels home with it.

With the Ohio River as the line between our state and yours, Kentucky is close enough for a drive to the farm. A pet transport van or a flight nanny can also bring a puppy to you.

Reserving a Miniature Poodle Puppy in Kentucky

Whatever shows on this page right now can be reserved online, and upcoming litters appear here as well, letting you claim a pick ahead of the birth. Each puppy has its own price based on color, coat type, and gender, and none is listed below $1,995. A $200 non-refundable deposit holds your choice, and if your plans change we can move the deposit onto another available puppy. We sell first come, first served and keep no waitlist, which means a puppy you are watching can be claimed by someone else before you get to it.

Before you commit, ask for a FaceTime call and we will show you the puppy up close. Credova offers financing through an online application if spreading out the cost helps. Puppies are ready to leave once they reach eight weeks of age, and we deliver across Kentucky or you can collect yours at the farm. If none of these puppies is the right match, sign up for our newsletter, since that is where new litters show up first.

Getting Your Miniature Poodle Puppy Home to Kentucky

Once you reserve, we pick the travel method together by phone. For the ride home, we pack a blanket with the mother's scent on it. A bag of the food the puppy has been eating goes along too, which lets you switch its diet slowly.

Picking Up at Our Ohio Farm

Pickup is the option we suggest for Northern Kentucky, the eastern counties, and Lexington. From Ashland or Covington the farm is roughly three to four hours away, and from Lexington it is closer to four and a half. We are about twenty minutes southeast of Millersburg, and visits run Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm when you book ahead. After a walk through the kennel, we go over the shot records, the microchip registration, and the health guarantee with you face to face.

Door to Door Van Delivery

Louisville is a longer drive than Lexington, and the trip keeps growing as you head west toward Bowling Green, Owensboro, and Paducah. For homes in that part of the state, van delivery is the better fit, and it costs around $350 to a Kentucky address.

Every Kentucky delivery has two drivers, both employed by the professional pet transport service that runs these trips. Before the custom climate-controlled van pulls out, a vet looks the puppy over, and it rides in a carrier of its own while updates come to you en route. Depending on your town, the drive from Fresno runs about three to eight hours.

Flying With a Nanny

Any family that prefers air travel can choose a flight nanny, which is faster than the van. A trained handler sits in the cabin with your puppy, whose airline-approved soft carrier stays tucked below the seat in front. The cargo hold is never part of the trip. You get photos and video on your phone as the flight goes, and the handoff is at baggage claim. Kentucky flights can land at Louisville Muhammad Ali International, Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, or Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International in Hebron.

Two rules come from the nanny service. The puppy must be eight weeks or older, and its weight with the carrier has to stay under 20 pounds, which a Mini Poodle puppy that young easily does. Before the flight, a licensed vet issues a health certificate, and we set that up. Air travel costs more than the van, and each booking gets its own quote. Storms can hold a flight back, so your dates need some flexibility.

The Miniature Poodle Puppy Breeder Network Serving Kentucky Families

More than 13 years ago, our family of nine, the Nisleys, started raising dogs on a five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio. Our broker license reflects how the litters are raised, across a closed group of local kennels that includes the original one on our farm. Those kennels hold no dogs but ours, and their breeders follow one set of rules for health checks, genetic testing, and breeding. No puppy is ever brought in from outside that circle. Every parent dog belongs to The Puppy Lodge, with the occasional outside stud as the exception.

Parents are screened before breeding for conditions like progressive retinal atrophy. Screening brings the odds down, but taking the risk to zero is beyond any breeder, and we would rather be straight about that. Danville Veterinary Clinic makes a weekly visit, and with a small breed, a vet is quicker than an owner to catch a slipping knee or an early eye change. Puppies begin early neurological stimulation on day 3 of life and finish it on day 16. Every puppy leaves with a written three year health guarantee.

Much of Kentucky is a few hours' drive from us, so you can see the kennel before choosing a Miniature Poodle puppy breeder serving the state. Reading our 50+ Google reviews before that drive is another way to learn about us.

FAQs Of Kentucky Families Looking for Miniature Poodles

Q: Can we meet the parents when we visit?

A: You can meet the mother when you book a visit with us. The father is not always there, because an outside stud service is used from time to time to strengthen the program. When you call to schedule, we can tell you whether he will be on hand.

Q: How does a Mini Poodle handle Kentucky summers and lake trips?

A: A short sporting clip keeps a Mini Poodle cooler through a humid Kentucky July. Take walks in the morning or after dinner, and bring water on longer outings. Mini Poodles were first bred to retrieve ducks, and most of them take to swimming, so Kentucky Lake or Lake Cumberland makes a good day out. Afterward, towel your dog off and dry the drop ears, which trap moisture.

Q: How often will our Mini Poodle need grooming?

A: Friction is what starts a mat, so the areas behind the ears, under the legs, and along the collar need brushing every other day. A professional grooming appointment every four to six weeks fits this coat, and the bill tends to land between $50 and $80. If mats set in, the groomer usually has to shave them out.

Q: Will our puppy's color change as it grows?

A: It might. The first year or two is when coat color tends to shift in Mini Poodles. Red can fade toward apricot, black may turn silver or blue, and brown can lighten to cafe au lait. The change is normal and not a sign of illness. Call us if you have your heart set on a shade, since the parents' lines give a good idea of how color holds over time.

Q: Can a Mini Poodle stay home while we commute to work in Louisville or Lexington?

A: If you work long hours in Louisville or Lexington, plan for a walker, a daycare, or a neighbor to check in at midday, since a Mini Poodle should not be alone for a full workday. Besides that visit, it needs 45 to 60 minutes of exercise daily and a bit of brain work like a puzzle feeder or a short training game. Ten minutes of focused training can tire the dog out more than a longer stroll.
