Fluffy Frenchie Puppies for Sale in Florida With Delivery From Ohio

The Puppy Lodge sends its Fluffy Frenchie puppies for sale in Florida south from Fresno, Ohio, where we have raised dogs for over 13 years. Each is a purebred French Bulldog that picked up a recessive long-hair gene from each parent. Having two copies gives it a soft, silky coat roughly double or triple the length of a standard Frenchie's. Underneath is the same sturdy little body, the same bat ears, and the same laid-back, people-loving personality.

Florida is a long way south of us. By road it is about 12 hours to the Georgia line and up to about 19 hours to the southern end of the state, and we cover that distance by climate-controlled van or with a flight nanny. Puppies we have ready now, along with upcoming litters, appear on the Fluffy Frenchie puppies page.

How Your Fluffy Frenchie Travels to Florida

Van delivery suits most of Florida. It costs less than flying, it ends at your front door, and the puppy stays in a cooled van the entire way, which matters for a flat-faced dog heading into Florida weather. In South Florida, where the drive is longest, a flight nanny is worth a look if you want your puppy home the same day. Once your deposit is in, we talk it through with you by phone and settle on the option that fits.

Ground Delivery Straight to Your Door

A professional pet transport company brings your puppy south in a specially built van kept at a comfortable temperature and carries it to your front door. The fee anywhere in Florida is around $350. Vans head out of Ohio every Tuesday morning. Trips to Florida and the rest of the Deep South usually take two to three days. Before leaving, your puppy has a vet checkup. It rides in a carrier of its own, and the driver sends you updates during the drive.

Flight Nanny to a Florida Airport

A trained nanny brings your puppy on a scheduled airline flight, riding in a soft, airline-approved bag that fits beneath the seat in front of them. We only fly Frenchies in the cabin because their short noses make cargo a bad place for them, and many airlines do not accept flat-faced dogs in cargo. Photos and video come through during the trip, and you pick your puppy up from the nanny at baggage claim, usually the same day it left Ohio.

Most Florida families fly into Orlando International (MCO), Tampa International (TPA), Miami International (MIA), or Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (FLL). Palm Beach International (PBI) and Southwest Florida International (RSW) in Fort Myers are handy on the southern coasts, and Jacksonville International (JAX) and Pensacola International (PNS) cover the north. Flights are quoted one at a time and cost more than the van. A puppy can fly once it is 8 weeks old, as long as it weighs under 20 pounds in its carrier. We also get a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian ahead of the flight. Summer storms can push a flight to another day, so it helps to keep a spare day open around the trip.

Picking Up at Our Kennel

Families can also drive up to Fresno by appointment and take the puppy home themselves. You can meet its mother, look around the kennel, and go over the vaccine history, microchip registration, and guarantee paperwork with us in person. Coming from Florida, that is at least a full day of driving each way, so pickup mostly fits families who are already coming north.

All three options include a bag of your puppy's current food, which lets you change diets gradually, and a blanket that still carries its mother's smell.

Our Fluffy Frenchie Breeder Program and Florida Families

Every parent dog behind our Fluffy Frenchies belongs to The Puppy Lodge, and when a stud from outside is used, it goes through the same testing. A few of our litters are whelped at our first kennel in Fresno. The others are raised a short drive away by a small, closed network of certified kennels that keep Puppy Lodge dogs only and follow our health and breeding standards.

There are plenty of Frenchie breeders in Florida, so it makes sense to know how our litters are planned before you look this far north. A puppy only gets the fluffy coat when it inherits the long-hair gene twice. Each parent is DNA tested for coat genetics as well as eye color and furnishings before we pair it, so we know ahead of time whether a litter can have fluffy puppies and what colors could show up. That range covers common cream, fawn, and blue as well as rarer lilac, chocolate, merle, and isabella. We also health screen every parent and favor dogs with good structure, open nostrils, and a healthy airway.

Our dogs live in climate-controlled buildings that stay cool through an Ohio summer and warm through the winter. Every puppy starts Early Neurological Stimulation, our Super Dog Program, at three days old. Our kids hold and play with the puppies each day, potty and crate training get started, and no puppy goes home before 8 weeks. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet checks the adults and newborn litters every week, and each puppy goes home microchipped with its vaccines and dewormings current. No test catches everything, but careful screening cuts the odds of inherited problems a lot. Every puppy is backed by a written health guarantee that runs three years and applies to genetic and congenital conditions, with hip and elbow problems included.

Fluffy Frenchie FAQs Of Florida Families

Q: What does a Florida summer walk look like with a Fluffy Frenchie?

A: Short and early, or short and late. Frenchies cannot cool off by panting as well as longer-nosed dogs, and that is true whether the coat is fluffy or smooth. Go out around sunrise or after dark, pick shady routes, and bring water. If your dog pants hard or starts drooling heavily, head inside to the air conditioning, and on the hottest days skip the walk and play indoors.

Q: Our puppy will get caught in afternoon rain. How do we care for a wet coat?

A: Towel your dog off when you come in and brush through the fuller fur around the ears and chest, since those spots tangle first when they stay damp. The face folds and ears matter even more in humid weather. Wipe the wrinkles dry every day, since trapped moisture there can lead to infection, and clean the ears weekly. Our Fluffy French Bulldog breed guide covers the rest of the grooming routine.

Q: We spend summers up north. Can our Frenchie ride along in the car?

A: Yes. Frenchies are small and easygoing, and most are good car travelers, so a drive between Florida and a summer home usually goes fine. Keep the air conditioning running and never leave your dog in a parked car. If you are in Ohio or nearby when your puppy is ready, that can also be a good time to pick it up from us in person.

Q: Is a Fluffy Frenchie a good fit for retirees?

A: For many retired couples and singles it works well. They need a couple of short walks a day and some play indoors, they bark less than most small breeds, and they usually want company for most of the day. Adults weigh 16 to 28 pounds in most cases, so they are easy to lift, though they feel heavier than they look.

Q: Do Fluffy Frenchies shed, and are they okay for allergies?

A: They shed a low to moderate amount, a little more when the seasons change. No Frenchie is hypoallergenic, so if someone in your home has dog allergies, spend time around one before you commit. Brushing a few times a week keeps loose hair down.
