Raising a Frenchie in Georgia
Georgia weather is easy on a dog for most of the year, with one season that calls for real care: summer.
Summers are long, hot, and humid across the whole state, and that humidity is what matters most for a flat-faced dog, since damp air makes it much harder for them to cool themselves down by panting. Through the hottest months, keep your Frenchie in the air conditioning during the day, save walks for early morning or the evening, and always keep water close by. One nice thing about Atlanta in particular is its famous tree cover, so there's plenty of shade to walk in once the temperature drops a bit.
Winters, by contrast, ask almost nothing of you. Across most of Georgia the cold is mild and brief, snow is rare, and a light sweater on the occasional chilly morning is about all your Frenchie will want. Only up in the north Georgia foothills does winter carry any bite, and even there it's easy to manage.
