A Fluffy Frenchie Made for North Carolina Life
Fluffy Frenchies are easygoing, affectionate little dogs that fit right into life anywhere in North Carolina, whether that's uptown Charlotte, a place near the coast in Wilmington, or a quiet street in the Triangle. They don't need much room or hard exercise. What they want is to be near their people, which makes them a natural fit for just about any Carolina home.
What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special
Underneath that soft coat, a Fluffy Frenchie is all French Bulldog: the same flat face, the same bat ears, the same big, goofy affection. The coat is the one thing that sets a fluffy apart, and it takes a special gene that both parents have to carry. That's uncommon, and most breeders don't test for it, so real fluffies stay rare. We test our dogs, so we know what every litter will bring before the puppies arrive.

Getting Your Puppy Home to North Carolina
Our farm is in Ohio, a day's reach from most of North Carolina, so we've made getting your puppy home simple. You have three ways to do it.
Ground delivery — a professional pet transport company drives your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, anywhere in the state. The handlers do this for a living and keep young Frenchies calm and comfortable the whole way.
Flight nanny — for a faster trip, a nanny flies with your puppy in the cabin to a major North Carolina airport, like Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), Raleigh–Durham International Airport (RDU), or Wilmington International Airport (ILM). Your puppy is never shipped alone in cargo.
Farm pickup — you're always welcome to visit the farm by appointment, meet the parents, and take your puppy home yourself.

Raising a Frenchie Across North Carolina
North Carolina is a friendly place for this breed, though the weather changes a fair bit from the coast to the mountains.
Across most of the state, from Charlotte and the Triangle to Wilmington on the coast, summers are warm and humid, often in the upper 80s and low 90s. That's the season to watch, because a flat-faced dog like a Frenchie can overheat in humidity faster than in dry heat. The good part is the winters here are mild, so unlike up north, cold weather is rarely something you'll worry about.
Up in the mountains around Asheville, it's a different story. Summers are cooler and more comfortable, but winters bring real cold and some snow, so a sweater and shorter walks help your Frenchie through the coldest stretches.
Either way, a few habits keep your dog happy:
- On hot, humid days, walk early or after sundown and let the AC do the work in between.
- Keep fresh water close by, and never leave your Frenchie in a parked car.
- In the mountains in winter, bundle them up for walks and wipe salt off their paws afterward.
The nicer months are made for this breed. Take a slow morning walk on the American Tobacco Trail near Raleigh before the humidity builds, or head down to the Riverwalk in Wilmington when there's a breeze off the water.
