A Fluffy Frenchie Made for South Carolina Life
A Fluffy Frenchie is a wonderful fit for life in South Carolina, whether you're near the water in Charleston, out on Hilton Head, or up in Greenville. They're laid-back little dogs that love being with their people and don't ask for much, just a short walk in the cooler hours and a comfortable spot to lounge. For a warm, easygoing state, they're an easy, low-key companion.
What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special
A Fluffy Frenchie is a true French Bulldog, just with a longer, softer coat than the short one people usually picture. The rest is all Frenchie: the flat face, the big bat ears, and the sweet, easygoing temperament that makes the breed so loved. The coat comes down to a single gene that both parents must carry, and since most breeders don't test for it, a real fluffy is a rare find. We test our dogs, so we know which puppies in a litter will be fluffy long before they're born.

Getting Your Puppy Home to South Carolina
Our farm is in Ohio, a comfortable trip from South Carolina, and we've made bringing your puppy home simple. You have three ways to do it.
Flight nanny — a popular pick for South Carolina families. A nanny flies with your puppy in the cabin into Charleston International Airport (CHS), Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), or Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP). Your puppy is never shipped alone in cargo.
Ground delivery — a professional pet transport company drives your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, anywhere from the coast to the Upstate.
Farm pickup — you're always welcome to visit the farm by appointment, meet the parents, and take your puppy home yourself.

Raising a Frenchie in the Lowcountry and Beyond
For a Frenchie, South Carolina is mostly about staying cool in the summer, because the winters here hardly register.
Along the coast in Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Hilton Head, and inland in Columbia, summers are hot, long, and humid. That humidity is the thing to plan around, because a flat-faced dog struggles to cool itself in muggy air far more than in dry heat. Keep your Frenchie in the air conditioning during the hottest part of the day, walk them early or after sunset, and always have water on hand.
Winter, on the other hand, is a gift. On the coast it barely arrives at all, with January afternoons often in the high 50s and 60s and snow almost unheard of, so your Frenchie can enjoy the outdoors all season with maybe a light sweater on a cool morning. Only up in the Upstate around Greenville do you get a real winter, and even there it's mild and easy to handle.
Once the summer heat eases, it's a lovely place for a dog. You can wander the West Ashley Greenway in Charleston or the Swamp Rabbit Trail up in Greenville, and the long, mild spring and fall give you months of comfortable walking weather.
