Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies for Sale in Kentucky

If you have been searching for Mini Doxiedoodle puppies for sale in Kentucky, our available litters are listed online and can be reserved the same day you find the one you want. The Puppy Lodge is a family run program based in Fresno, Ohio, and Kentucky is one of our closer states. Northern Kentucky around Covington and Florence is roughly three hours from the farm. Lexington and Louisville run four to five hours. The far western end near Paducah is closer to eight. That range is short enough that most Kentucky puppies arrive home the day after they leave us.

A Mini Doxiedoodle is a Miniature Dachshund crossed with a Miniature Poodle. Grown, they usually stand 8 to 12 inches and weigh 10 to 20 pounds, with a wavy or curly coat that sheds very little. They are affectionate, clever, and talkative, and they tend to attach themselves to one household and stay in the middle of everything it does. Both parent breeds are part of our own breeding program, so every pairing has a known health and temperament history behind it. If you are still deciding on the breed, our complete Mini Doxiedoodle guide walks through size, coat, and daily care in detail.

Available Mini Doxiedoodle Puppies

The puppies below are the ones we have right now. Each one is vet checked by Danville Veterinary Clinic, microchipped, current on shots and dewormings, and comes with a written three year health guarantee that covers genetic and congenital conditions. Pricing runs from $1,495 to $2,995 depending on coat type, color, and gender.

Reserving is done straight from the listing with a $200 deposit, and financing through Credova is available if you would rather spread the cost. We do not keep a waitlist, so puppies go first come, first served and a listed puppy can be claimed by another family the same afternoon. If you want a closer look before committing, we can set up a FaceTime call with the puppy. Once a puppy is reserved, we get on the phone with you to sort out how it travels to Kentucky.

Puppy Delivery and Pickup Options for Kentucky

There are three ways to get your puppy from our Coshocton County farm to your part of Kentucky, and we settle on one during a call after the puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.

Farm pickup is a good fit for a large share of Kentucky. From Cincinnati and the northern Kentucky suburbs the drive is about three hours, and Lexington and Louisville are four to five. Coming out to us means you meet the puppy's mother, walk the kennel, and go over the vaccination record, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person before you leave. We send you home with a bag of the food the puppy is already eating and a blanket carrying its mother's scent. Visits are by appointment, Monday through Saturday.

Home delivery is what most families pick. A professional transport service drives the puppy to your door in a climate controlled van with an individual carrier, a vet check before departure, and updates along the way. Kentucky falls in our regional pricing tier, so the flat fee is usually around $350 no matter which corner of the state you are in. Eastern and central Kentucky are typically next day trips. Western Kentucky can stretch into a second day depending on the route.

Flight nanny service puts the puppy in the cabin next to a trained handler for the whole flight, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. It is quoted per flight and costs more than ground transport, but it is usually a same day handoff. Families in Kentucky most often meet a nanny at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International in Hebron, Louisville Muhammad Ali International, or Blue Grass Airport in Lexington. Mini Doxiedoodles are a good match for this option since a grown one stays well under the 20 pound cabin limit including the carrier, and they have none of the airline restrictions that apply to flat faced breeds. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old with a health certificate from a licensed vet, and you need a little flexibility if weather shifts the flight.

For most of Kentucky we suggest either driving out for pickup or booking the van. Anyone north of the Bluegrass Parkway is close enough that the drive up is an easy day trip. If you are around Bowling Green, Owensboro, or farther west, ground delivery saves you a long haul for the same money it would cost in gas.

About Our Mini Doxiedoodle Puppy Breeder Program Serving Kentucky

The Puppy Lodge is run by the Nisley family on five acres outside Fresno, Ohio, about twenty minutes southeast of Millersburg. We have been raising dogs for more than thirteen years. Every adult dog in the program is owned by us and has been genetically tested and chosen for temperament, health, pedigree, and coat genetics. Litters are raised across a closed group of nearby kennels that work only with our dogs and hold to our health testing and breeding standards, with some litters raised at the original Fresno kennel. No puppy we sell comes from outside that group.

With Mini Doxiedoodles, the thing we pay closest attention to is build. Dachshunds carry a genetic predisposition to disc disease that comes packaged with the short legged body type, and a puppy that inherits the long backed Dachshund frame carries more of that risk than one that takes the Poodle's squarer proportions. We evaluate structure when we decide on pairings, and because we run Miniature Dachshunds and Miniature Poodles as separate tested programs, we can tell you what a specific pairing has produced before. Our vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic comes to the kennel weekly to check the adults and the newborn litters. Every puppy goes through the ENS handling protocol from day three through day sixteen, gets played with daily by our kids, and starts potty and crate training before it turns eight weeks.

Kentucky families are close enough that coming to see all of this yourself is reasonable. That is the part we would encourage most. A three to five hour drive lets you meet the mother, see the buildings with their heated floors and run space, and ask about spinal risk or coat type face to face instead of over a listing photo. Call or text us at 330-790-5007 and we will find a time.

Mini Doxiedoodle FAQs Of Kentucky Families

Q: How long does it take to get a Mini Doxiedoodle puppy delivered to Kentucky?

A: Ground delivery to Louisville, Lexington, or northern Kentucky is usually a next day trip once transport is scheduled. Western Kentucky may run into a second day depending on how the route is built. Flight nanny service into Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, Louisville, or Lexington is almost always same day.

Q: Will a Mini Doxiedoodle be alright in a Kentucky summer?

A: They handle it fine with a little planning. Their coat is not heavy, but they are low to the ground and pick up heat off pavement quickly, so walks are better early morning or after the sun drops in July and August. Thirty to forty five minutes of activity a day is plenty, and a good chunk of that can be indoor puzzle work or scent games when the humidity is bad.

Q: Are Mini Doxiedoodles good apartment dogs for Louisville or Lexington?

A: Yes, size and energy level both work well in an apartment or condo. The one thing to plan for is noise. They are vocal little dogs and will announce the hallway, the delivery driver, and anything moving outside a window. Starting quiet training early and giving them daily mental work keeps the barking manageable in a building with close neighbors.

Q: Do Mini Doxiedoodles set off allergies?

A: No dog is fully hypoallergenic, and we will not tell you otherwise. What this cross has is a low shedding coat that holds loose hair rather than dropping it around the house, which means less dander in the air. That is often enough for mild or moderate allergies and often not enough for severe ones. Spending time around the puppy is the only way to know for certain, and we can arrange that at the kennel.

Q: What should I know about back problems in this breed?

A: The Dachshund side brings a genuine risk of disc disease, and how much a given puppy carries depends largely on whether it inherits the long low body or the more proportional Poodle build. Keeping the dog lean is the single biggest thing you control. Ramps instead of jumping off furniture, a harness rather than a collar on walks, and limiting stair repetition all help. Our three year health guarantee covers genetic and congenital conditions, spinal ones included.

Q: Can I visit the kennel before I decide?

A: You are welcome to, and from most of Kentucky it is a manageable drive. Visits are by appointment Monday through Saturday. You will meet the puppy and its mother, though the father is sometimes not on site if an outside stud was used for that pairing. If the drive does not work, a FaceTime call is the next best thing.
