Teddy Bear Puppies for Sale in Indiana
Our Teddy Bear puppies for sale in Indiana come from The Puppy Lodge, a family run program based on a five acre farm in Fresno, Ohio. Teddy Bears are a Shih Tzu and Bichon Frise cross, usually 8 to 15 pounds full grown, with a plush wavy coat and the calm, people focused personality both parent breeds are known for.
Indiana sits just west of us, and that makes things easy. Most of the state is a three to seven hour drive from the farm, so families in Richmond or Muncie can come get their puppy the same day, and families out toward Evansville or Gary can have one driven to the door. Give us a call at 330-790-5007 and we can talk through which one fits your schedule.

Available Teddy Bear Puppies for Indiana Families
Every puppy listed below is ready to reserve online right now. You can see the price, look at photos, and put down a $200 deposit without a phone call, and we can set up a FaceTime with the puppy first if you want to see one moving around before you decide. All of our parent dogs are owned by The Puppy Lodge and genetically tested before a pairing, and every puppy goes home vet checked, microchipped, current on shots and dewormings, and covered by a written three year health guarantee.
We do not keep a waitlist, so puppies go first come first served and a listing can be claimed by another family the same day it goes up. If nothing here is the right fit, upcoming litters are posted for reservation too, and you can join the newsletter to hear about new ones first. Delivery into Indiana is arranged after you reserve.

Teddy Bear Puppy Delivery to Indiana
There are three ways to get your puppy from Ohio to Indiana, and we decide which one on a phone call after the reservation goes through rather than at checkout.
Farm pickup. You drive to the kennel in Fresno by appointment and take your puppy home yourself. Eastern and central Indiana are close enough for this to make sense as a day trip, roughly three and a half hours from Richmond and around five from Indianapolis. While you are here you can meet the mother, walk through the buildings, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating and a blanket that carries the mother's scent. For most of the state this is the option we suggest first, and it costs nothing.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy to your door in a climate controlled van, and it is the option most of our families pick. Indiana is currently $350, flat statewide. Vans leave on Tuesday mornings, and because you are a next day drive from the farm most families have their puppy within about three days of scheduling. The puppy travels in its own carrier, gets a vet checkup before leaving, and you get updates along the way. No airport trip, no cargo hold.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Indianapolis International is the most common landing spot for Indiana families, and we have also arranged handoffs at Fort Wayne International, South Bend International, and Evansville Regional. This one is quoted per flight and runs higher than ground, and it needs the puppy to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, and cleared by a health certificate we arrange ahead of time. Weather delays happen, so some flexibility helps.
One breed note. Teddy Bears have a slightly shortened muzzle from the Shih Tzu side, so heat and hard exertion are worth watching. That matters most for summer travel, and it is part of why the climate controlled van and the in cabin flight work well for this breed. Northwest Indiana around Gary and the southwest corner near Evansville run on Central time while the rest of the state is on Eastern, so we confirm the handoff window in your local time when we book it.
Teddy Bear Puppy Breeder Serving Indiana Families
The Puppy Lodge is owned by the Nisley family, and we have been raising dogs for over 13 years on our farm in Coshocton County. Litters are raised across a closed network of local kennels near us by breeders who work only with our dogs and follow the same health testing, genetic testing, and breeding standards we use ourselves. Every parent dog is owned by us and screened before a pairing, on both breeds behind the cross. A vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic comes out weekly to check the adults and the newborn litters.
With Teddy Bears we pay close attention to a few things. Every puppy runs the ENS protocol from day three through day 16, which builds early stress tolerance, and that matters for a breed that bonds this hard and can develop separation anxiety if alone time is never practiced. Our kids handle the puppies daily, potty and crate training start before go home at eight weeks, and pairings account for structure because patellar luxation and dental crowding show up in a lot of small breeds. None of that is a guarantee against every problem, which is why the three year health guarantee covers genetic and congenital conditions in writing. If you want more background on the breed before you commit, our complete Teddy Bear puppy guide walks through what to expect. An Indiana family is a few hours away rather than a few minutes, but you can see the parents, tour the kennel, and call us at 330-790-5007 with any question before or after you buy.
