Pomskies and Miniature Poodles also do great in four-season climates, with coats that adapt well to the temperature swings. Miniature Dachshunds are perfect for smaller homes and apartments, especially in the more suburban parts of the state, though they'll want a coat for January walks. Fluffy French Bulldogs are one of our most popular breeds and do well in virtually any climate because they're primarily indoor companions, happy in a house or an apartment. A:Absolutely, and we love when families make the trip. Visits are by appointment so we can give you our full attention. You'll meet the parent dogs, walk through the kennel, and spend real time with the puppies. It's one thing to see photos online, but holding a puppy and watching how it interacts with your kids is a completely different experience. If traveling isn't in the cards, we also offer virtual tours so you can see exactly how our puppies are raised before making a decision.

A:Pickup day is something our family genuinely looks forward to. You'll spend time with the litter, and our kids are usually right there to introduce you to each puppy's personality. Before you head home, we'll go over the full go-home kit: vaccination records, your Purina Pro Plan starter bag, a blanket that carries mom's scent, and everything else your puppy leaves with. For the drive back to Connecticut, we recommend bringing a crate or a travel harness, a few towels, and planning a couple of short stops along the way so your puppy can stretch and take a bathroom break.

A:Connecticut families are close enough to us that a lot of them come see the farm for themselves, and we'd encourage it. We're a family of nine, five girls, two boys, and two parents, on five acres in the rolling hills of Central Ohio, and we've been raising puppies here for over 13 years. Our kids are in the whelping room and the play yard every day, so puppies leave here having been held and loved on constantly. The kennel has been remodeled multiple times, with heated tile floors in winter and geothermal cooling in summer, because the environment our dogs live in is the part we refuse to cut corners on. We're certified through the Purdue University Canine Care Program, one of the few breeders in the country who are, and our vet from Danville Veterinary Clinic is at the kennel every week. Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation between days 3 and 16, and all parent dogs are health and genetic tested.
