A:Maryland's humidity in July and August is no joke, so you'll want a breed that handles the heat. Miniature Poodles and Teddy Bears do great because their coats are manageable and they don't overheat easily. Golden Retrievers are built for all four seasons here, though they'll appreciate shade and water on the hottest days. Fluffy French Bulldogs are a perfect fit for Maryland families since they're primarily indoor dogs and do well in houses, apartments, and everything in between. Mini Dachshunds and Pomskies also adapt well, though Pomskies especially love when those cold Maryland winters roll in.

A:Absolutely, and we love when families make the trip. Visits are by appointment so we can give you our full attention. You'll meet the parent dogs, walk through the kennel, and spend real time with the puppies. It's one thing to see photos online, but holding a puppy and watching how it interacts with your kids is a completely different experience. If traveling isn't in the cards, we also offer virtual tours so you can see exactly how our puppies are raised before making a decision.

A:Pickup day is one of our favorite parts. You'll get to meet the full litter, spend time with your puppy, and see how comfortable they are with our kids running around. Before you leave, we walk you through the go-home kit and answer any last-minute questions. For the drive back to Maryland, we recommend bringing a crate, a few old towels, and making a stop or two so the puppy can stretch and go to the bathroom. Most puppies settle in and sleep for a good chunk of the ride.

Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation between days 3 and 16, and all parent dogs are health and genetic tested.
