A Local Ohio Breeder You Can Actually Visit

Here's something Ohio families don't get with an out-of-state breeder or an online listing: you can come see for yourself. We're right here in the Holmes County area, an easy drive from most of the state. Columbus is about an hour and a half away, Akron and Canton are even closer, and Cleveland or Cincinnati are a couple of hours out.

That means you can meet your puppy, see our kennel, and get to know the adult dogs before you decide. No shipping a puppy across the country from a breeder you've never met. Just a drive across your home state to a family that raises these dogs the right way.

What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special

People are always surprised to learn a Fluffy Frenchie is just a French Bulldog with longer hair. Same breed, same big ears, same easygoing personality. The soft, fluffy coat comes from a single gene that both the mom and dad have to carry. It's uncommon, and most breeders don't test for it, so true fluffies are hard to find. We test every parent dog, so nothing about our litters is a guess.

Getting Your Puppy Home to Ohio

Because we're right here in Ohio, bringing your puppy home is easy. You have three ways to do it.

Farm pickup — the one most Ohio families choose. Come meet the parents, see the kennel, and take your puppy home yourself. We set up a time by appointment so we can give you our full attention. From Coshocton County we're about an hour and a half from Columbus, a little over an hour from Akron and Canton, and roughly two hours from Cleveland or Cincinnati.

Ground delivery — if you'd rather not make the drive, a professional pet transport company brings your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, anywhere in Ohio.

Flight nanny — for families far out of state, a nanny can fly with your puppy in the cabin to a major Ohio airport, like John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), or Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). Your puppy is never shipped alone in cargo.

Raising a Frenchie Through an Ohio Year

Good news for Ohio owners: our summers are mild compared to the Deep South, so the heat that makes Frenchies struggle down there is rarely a problem here. A Frenchie can enjoy an Ohio summer with just the normal common sense, shade, water, and walks in the cooler parts of a hot day.

The season to plan for is winter. Frenchies have short coats and low body fat, so an Ohio January is cold for them. A little care makes it easy:

  • Put a sweater or coat on your Frenchie for walks once it's below freezing, and keep those walks short in bitter cold.
  • Wipe their paws after walks. Road salt on Ohio sidewalks and lots can irritate and crack their pads.
  • Furnace heat dries out indoor air all winter, which can dry out their skin. If you notice flaking, ask your vet about a little more moisture in their diet.

Spring and fall are the easy seasons in Ohio, and they're when the state's metro parks are at their best. Scioto Audubon in Columbus and the Towpath Trail up near Akron both make for a comfortable cool-weather walk, which is about all a Frenchie asks for.

FAQs Of Ohio Families

Q:Are Fluffy Frenchies real French Bulldogs?

A:Yes, 100%. The only difference is the longer, soft coat that comes from one gene both parents carry.

Q:How much do Fluffy Frenchies cost?

A:Fluffies cost more than standard Frenchies because they're rare. Ours range from $2,800 to $6,000, depending on color and looks. Financing is available.

Q:Is my deposit refundable?

A:A $200 deposit holds your puppy. The deposit is non-refundable, because once you reserve a puppy, we take it off the market for other families. If something comes up, we'll work with you to move your deposit to another available puppy.

Q:Can I visit the farm and meet the puppies?

A:Yes, and since we're right here in Ohio, it's an easy trip for most families. We're a working kennel, so we schedule visits by appointment to make sure we can give you our time and show you the kennel, the adult dogs, and all of our puppies.

Q:How do Frenchies handle Ohio winters?

A:They do fine with a little care. Put a sweater on them for cold walks, keep those walks short in bitter cold, and wipe their paws after salted sidewalks. Frenchies are happiest indoors with the family anyway, which suits an Ohio winter well.

Q:When can my puppy come home?

A:The earliest a puppy can go home is 8 weeks old. That gives them enough time with their mom and littermates to grow strong and start life confident.

Q:What comes with my puppy?

A:Every puppy goes home vet-checked, up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped, with health records, a small bag of the food they've been eating, and our written 3-year health guarantee.

Q:Do you have a waitlist?

A:We don't keep a waitlist. It's first come, first served, and every available puppy is posted on our website. When you find the one you want, a $200 deposit holds them.
