A Fluffy Frenchie Made for Oklahoma Life

A Fluffy Frenchie settles in easily whether you're in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, or a small town in between. These are indoor dogs through and through, happy with a short morning walk and a shady spot to lie low when the heat rolls in. They don't need a big yard or much exercise, just your company and a place at your feet. For a family that wants a devoted, low-key companion, a Frenchie fits the bill.

What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special

Small enough to scoop up in one arm, a Fluffy Frenchie packs the whole French Bulldog personality under a coat that's longer and plusher than most. Producing it takes a recessive gene most breeders never test for, so fluffies stay uncommon. Beyond the fur, it's Frenchie all the way: a little stubborn, big-hearted, and glued to your side. We test our dogs, so we know which puppies will be fluffy before they arrive.

Getting Your Puppy Home to Oklahoma

Oklahoma is a good haul from our Ohio farm, but getting your puppy home is simple, and we do it all the time. You have three ways to go about it.

Flight nanny — the option most Oklahoma families choose. A nanny carries your puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, into OKC Will Rogers International Airport (OKC). For the eastern side of the state, Tulsa International Airport (TUL) works well too. It's an easy trip for the puppy.

Ground delivery — a professional pet transport company can drive your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, anywhere in Oklahoma.

Farm pickup — you're always welcome to come meet the parents and take your puppy home yourself. You can drive in, or fly into one of three nearby airports and make a short trip out to the farm: Akron-Canton is about an hour and 20 minutes away, Columbus about an hour and a half, and Pittsburgh about two hours. Just set up a time with us first.

Summer Heat and Storm Season

In Oklahoma, summer is the season a Frenchie needs looking after. Afternoons routinely climb into the 90s, and across the wetter eastern half of the state that heat comes with humidity, a tough combination for a flat-faced dog. Panting is how a Frenchie sheds heat, and it works far better in dry air than in the thick, damp air of high summer, so save walks for early morning or evening, keep water within reach, and let your Frenchie ride out the hottest hours in the air conditioning.

Spring brings the other thing the state is known for: storm season. When the sky turns and the sirens sound, your Frenchie should be inside with you, same as the rest of the family. Some dogs get anxious in thunderstorms, so a quiet room, a familiar blanket, and a calm voice go a long way on rough-weather days.

Winters, by contrast, are short and fairly mild, with only the occasional cold snap or ice storm to plan around. Those cooler months are the easiest time to get outside together, whether that's a lap of Scissortail Park in Oklahoma City or the river trails in Tulsa. Keep it slow, and your Frenchie will love every minute.

FAQs Of Oklahoma Families

Q:Are Fluffy Frenchies real French Bulldogs?

A:Yes, 100%. The only difference is the longer, soft coat that comes from one gene both parents carry.

Q:How much do Fluffy Frenchies cost?

A:Fluffies cost more than standard Frenchies because they're rare. Ours range from $2,800 to $6,000, depending on color and looks. Financing is available.

Q:Is my deposit refundable?

A:A $200 deposit holds your puppy. The deposit is non-refundable, because once you reserve a puppy, we take it off the market for other families. If something comes up, we'll work with you to move your deposit to another available puppy.

Q:How does delivery to Oklahoma work?

A:Oklahoma is a good way from our Ohio farm, so most families go with a flight nanny, who flies with your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, into OKC Will Rogers International Airport (OKC), or Tulsa International Airport (TUL) in the east. A specialized pet transport service can also drive your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, or you're welcome to pick up at the farm in person.

Q:How big do Fluffy Frenchies get?

A:About the same as any French Bulldog: most reach 16 to 28 pounds and stand roughly a foot tall at the shoulder. They're small but solidly built, sturdy enough for a lively household yet easy to lift onto a lap or carry through an airport. The longer coat can make them look a little bigger than they are, but underneath they're the same compact dog.

Q:When can my puppy come home?

A:The earliest a puppy can go home is 8 weeks old. That gives them enough time with their mom and littermates to grow strong and start life confident.

Q:What comes with my puppy?

A:Every puppy goes home vet-checked, up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped, with health records, a small bag of the food they've been eating, and our written 3-year health guarantee.
