A Fluffy Frenchie Made for Missouri Life

From a loft downtown in St. Louis to a place in the Kansas City suburbs or a quiet spot down in the Ozarks, a Fluffy Frenchie settles in wherever you are. These are easygoing indoor dogs, happy with a short walk and a soft place to land the rest of the day. They don't need a big yard or a lot of miles, just your company and a comfortable spot out of the weather. Friendly and mellow, they're as content greeting folks on a walk through Forest Park as they are dozing at your feet at home.

What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special

A Fluffy Frenchie's whole claim to fame is its coat. That long, silky fur comes from one recessive gene both parents carry, and it's the only thing setting a fluffy apart from any other French Bulldog. Beneath it, you've got the same flat face, the big bat ears, and the affectionate, goofy personality the breed is loved for. Because almost no breeders test for the gene, true fluffies are rare, so we test our dogs to know which puppies in a litter will be fluffy before they arrive.

Getting Your Puppy Home to Missouri

Missouri is an easy reach from our Ohio farm, especially the St. Louis side, which is a straightforward drive down I-70. There are three ways to bring your puppy home.

Ground delivery — a professional pet transport company can drive your puppy right to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, anywhere in the state.

Farm pickup — you're always welcome to come meet the parents and take your puppy home yourself. You can drive in, or fly into one of three nearby airports and make a short trip out to the farm: Akron-Canton is about an hour and 20 minutes away, Columbus about an hour and a half, and Pittsburgh about two hours. Just set up a time with us first.

Flight nanny — for Kansas City families out west, or anyone who'd rather fly, a nanny carries your puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, into St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) or Kansas City International Airport (MCI).

Missouri Weather and Your Frenchie

Missouri can't quite decide whether it's a Northern state or a Southern one, and the weather shows it. Summers feel like the Deep South, winters lean Midwestern, and spring can bring some real storms. For a Fluffy Frenchie, summer is the season that needs the most attention.

St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield all run hot in July, with highs around 90, and it's the humidity that makes it hard on a flat-faced dog. A Frenchie cools itself by panting, and thick, damp air gives that panting much less to work with, so a muggy Missouri afternoon can tire it out fast. Keep summer walks to the cool of the morning or evening, always bring water, run the air conditioning through the hot part of the day, and never leave your Frenchie in a parked car. Think of them as an indoor dog when the heat and humidity are both up, and they'll stay comfortable.

Winters are cold but usually not harsh, with modest snow in most years and more of it up north. A warm coat for walks and a little care with the salt on the sidewalks is about all a Frenchie needs to enjoy the cooler months. Missouri also sits on the edge of tornado country, and spring can turn stormy. None of that troubles your Frenchie much, but it helps to have a safe, quiet room to settle into with them when the weather turns rough.

When the weather is kind, Missouri is a fine place for a low-key dog. A slow morning walk around Tower Grove Park in St. Louis, or along the Riverfront Heritage Trail in Kansas City, gives a Frenchie all the exercise it needs, at the easy pace it prefers.

FAQs Of Missouri Families

Q:Are Fluffy Frenchies real French Bulldogs?

A:Yes, 100%. The only difference is the longer, soft coat that comes from one gene both parents carry.

Q:How much do Fluffy Frenchies cost?

A:Fluffies cost more than standard Frenchies because they're rare. Ours range from $2,800 to $6,000, depending on color and looks. Financing is available.

Q:Is my deposit refundable?

A:A $200 deposit holds your puppy. The deposit is non-refundable, because once you reserve a puppy, we take it off the market for other families. If something comes up, we'll work with you to move your deposit to another available puppy.

Q:How does delivery to Missouri work?

A:Since St. Louis is a straightforward drive from our Ohio farm, a lot of Missouri families either pick up in person or have their puppy driven over by a professional pet transport service in a climate-controlled vehicle. If you're closer to Kansas City or would simply rather fly, a nanny brings your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, into St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL) or Kansas City International Airport (MCI).

Q:Can a Frenchie handle Missouri's humid summers?

A:Yes, as long as you plan around the worst of it. Frenchies are indoor dogs at heart, and in a Missouri July that works in their favor. Walk early or late, skip the midday heat, keep water handy, and let the AC do the heavy lifting when it's hot and sticky. Handled that way, a Frenchie is comfortable here all summer long.

Q:When can my puppy come home?

A:The earliest a puppy can go home is 8 weeks old. That gives them enough time with their mom and littermates to grow strong and start life confident.

Q:What comes with my puppy?

A:Every puppy goes home vet-checked, up to date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped, with health records, a small bag of the food they've been eating, and our written 3-year health guarantee.
