These are purebred French Bulldogs, each with a silky, medium-length coat that comes from a pair of long-hair genes, one from each parent. The rest of the dog is classic Frenchie, stocky and solid with big bat ears. Our puppies are playful and affectionate, and most want to be in whatever room their family is in.

After your deposit is in, we talk by phone and decide together how your puppy will get to Idaho. For most of the state we recommend a flight nanny, since it turns a trip of well over a day into a few hours.

Your puppy flies with a trained nanny on a passenger airline, inside a soft carrier approved by the airline that sits at the nanny's feet. Frenchies have short noses, and a lot of airlines refuse them as cargo, so ours always ride in the cabin with the nanny. You get photos and video during the trip. Most puppies reach their families the same day they leave Ohio, and you pick up your puppy from the nanny at baggage claim.
Boise Airport (BOI) is the usual stop for the Treasure Valley and much of southern Idaho. Eastern Idaho families often meet the nanny at Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), and Magic Valley Regional Airport (TWF) in Twin Falls may also work depending on flights. The nanny's fee is quoted for each trip and runs higher than the van. A puppy can make the flight once it reaches 8 weeks, as long as it and its carrier weigh less than 20 pounds together. A licensed vet also examines it and writes a health certificate. Weather delays are possible, so leave a spare day open around the planned flight.
Ground Delivery by Climate-Controlled Van
A professional pet transport company can also drive your puppy all the way to your house in a custom van with steady climate control. The fee is around $450 anywhere in Idaho. Vans pull out of Fresno on Tuesday mornings. Because of the long route west, travel time depends on the stops along the way, and we give you the expected arrival on our call. Before the van leaves, a vet looks your puppy over. The puppy has a separate carrier for the ride, and the driver sends updates from the road.

During the visit you can say hello to the mother, look around the kennel, and read through the shot records, microchip papers, and guarantee together with us. From Idaho this is a trip of more than a day each way, so it usually fits only if you are already traveling east.

How Our Fluffy Frenchie Breeder Program Serves Idaho Families
We started raising dogs in Coshocton County over 13 years ago, and each Fluffy Frenchie parent in our program is a dog we own. Any outside stud we use is tested to the same standard. Some litters are born at our first kennel in Fresno. Others grow up at nearby kennels in our closed network, run by certified breeders who raise Puppy Lodge dogs and nothing else and who hold to our testing and breeding rules.
You could likely find a Frenchie breeder much closer to Idaho, so we want you to know how much planning goes into each of our pairings. The fluffy coat is recessive, so both parents have to pass along a long-hair gene for a puppy to have it. We DNA test every parent's coat, eye color, and furnishings genes before a pairing, so before a litter is born we know whether fluffy puppies are possible and what colors could appear. Every parent also gets a health screening, and we favor breeding dogs that are well built, with wide-open nostrils for easier breathing. No test can catch everything, but it makes inherited problems much less likely. Each puppy has a three-year written health guarantee on genetic and congenital conditions, and that includes hip and elbow problems.
The buildings stay at a comfortable temperature year round, using heated tile in winter and geothermal cooling in summer. At three days old, each puppy begins the Super Dog Program, our Early Neurological Stimulation routine, which runs for about two weeks. Our children also pick up the puppies and play with them each day, and we get potty and crate training started before the puppies leave. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet comes by weekly to look over the adult dogs and any newborn litters.
