A Fluffy Frenchie Made for Nevada Life
A Fluffy Frenchie is a natural fit for Nevada, and especially for city life in the Las Vegas Valley, where so many Nevadans live. These are small, calm dogs that are perfectly happy in a high-rise, a condo, or a Henderson house, because they'd rather be beside you indoors than out running in the heat. A short walk and plenty of couch time is all they need, which makes them an easy companion whether you're on the Strip side of town or up north in Reno.
What Makes a Fluffy Frenchie Special
A Fluffy Frenchie is a French Bulldog wearing a longer, softer coat in place of the short one you usually see. Underneath that coat it's all Frenchie: the flat face, the big upright ears, and the affectionate, comical nature that makes the breed so hard to resist. The long coat comes from a single gene that both parents have to carry, and because very few breeders test for it, a real fluffy is a rare find. We test our dogs, so we can tell you which puppies in a litter will be fluffy well before they're born.

Getting Your Puppy Home to Nevada
Nevada is one of the farthest states from our farm in Ohio, but distance is never a problem, and we send puppies out there often. You have three ways to bring yours home.
Flight nanny — the top choice for Nevada families. A nanny flies with your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas or Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) up north. It's the fastest, easiest trip for the puppy.
Ground delivery — a professional pet transport company can drive your puppy to your door in a climate-controlled vehicle, which keeps them cool and comfortable the entire way.
Farm pickup — you're always welcome to visit the farm in Ohio by appointment if you'd like to meet the litter and make the trip yourself.

Raising a Frenchie in Nevada
Nevada really is two climates in one state, and which one you live in shapes how you care for your Frenchie.
Down in the Las Vegas Valley, summer is the thing to respect. It gets fiercely hot, often past 100 degrees, though the dry desert air is a little kinder to a flat-faced dog than a humid climate would be. Still, heat like that has to be taken seriously. The routine is simple: let your Frenchie be an indoor dog through the worst of it, and save walks for the early morning or after dark. Check that the sidewalk isn't too hot for their feet, and keep water within easy reach. The winters, on the other hand, are lovely and mild, and make Las Vegas a wonderful place to have a dog for much of the year.
Up north around Reno, Sparks, and Carson City, it's a different story. The seasons are real there, with warm dry summers and cold, snowy winters up against the Sierra. In that part of the state your Frenchie will want a warm coat for winter walks and short trips outside when it's freezing, much like a dog anywhere with a true winter.
Wherever you are, the dry Nevada air means water matters year-round. When the weather is kind, it's a beautiful place to walk a dog, whether that's the trails at Red Rock Canyon outside Las Vegas or the path along the Truckee River in Reno.
