Fluffy Frenchie Puppies for Sale in Virginia: Our Long-Coated French Bulldogs

We have Fluffy Frenchie puppies for sale in Virginia through The Puppy Lodge, our program near Fresno, Ohio, and we can deliver them anywhere in the state. They are purebred French Bulldogs with soft coats that end up about double or triple a smooth Frenchie's length, and the extra fluff shows most on the neck, ears, and chest. The body underneath is pure Frenchie, with a sturdy little frame and bat ears. So is the personality, which is easygoing and happiest when the dog is in the same room as its people.

By road, Virginia sits about 5 to 9 hours from our kennel. Western Virginia is the closest stretch of the state for us, while Hampton Roads takes the longest to reach. You can look through our current Fluffy Frenchie puppies and upcoming litters any time.

Picking a Puppy Online for Your Virginia Home

Every puppy listed below comes with pictures and its price, and the whole reservation is done online. Pricing opens at $2,895. Color, gender, and the genes a puppy carries move it up from there. To hold the puppy you want, you pay a $200 deposit. We keep the deposit if you back out, but you are free to switch it to any other puppy still listed.

We keep no waitlist, which means a puppy belongs to whichever family reserves it first. Upcoming litters are posted on the same page, and a deposit on one reserves a pick before the puppies are born. Before you commit, we can show you a puppy moving and playing over FaceTime. Credova financing is available with an online application. Any puppy you choose can come to your Virginia address.

Travel Plans for a Puppy Headed to Virginia

After you place the deposit, we talk it over on the phone and pick one of the options below. Your puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating, along with a blanket that smells of its mom, which helps with those first nights in a new house.

Home Delivery for Most of Virginia (Our Pick)

For Northern Virginia, Richmond, Charlottesville, and Hampton Roads, we suggest home delivery. More of our buyers pick it than any other option. Professional pet transporters bring the puppy all the way to your home in a custom van kept at a comfortable temperature, which matters during a humid Virginia summer since Frenchies have short, flat faces. Before departure your puppy has a vet exam. It rides alone in its own carrier, and the driver sends you updates from the road.

The fee is around $350 for anywhere in Virginia. The van leaves our place on Tuesday morning, and Virginia falls on the East Coast leg of the route, so your puppy usually arrives the next day. Frenchies are small and settled enough to ride well in a car, so the van suits them.

Pickup in Ohio for Shenandoah Valley Families

If you live in the Shenandoah Valley, around Winchester, or elsewhere out west near the West Virginia line, you are at the short end of that drive, and a pickup trip to Ohio is a good choice. Pickup is by appointment. You will be able to meet the puppy's mother and see our kennel, and we go through the vaccine records, microchip, and guarantee together before you head home.

A Handler on the Plane With Your Puppy

For this option, a trained handler boards a normal commercial flight with your puppy. The puppy stays in a soft-sided carrier tucked beneath the seat and never rides in cargo. That is the safer way for a Frenchie to fly, because pressure and temperature changes are harder on flat-faced dogs. The handler sends pictures and video during the trip, most deliveries finish the same day, and you meet them at baggage claim. Good Virginia airports for this include Washington Dulles (IAD), Reagan National (DCA), Richmond International (RIC), Norfolk International (ORF), Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional (ROA), and Charlottesville-Albemarle (CHO).

We quote every flight separately, and the price is higher than home delivery. The flight rules call for a puppy of 8 weeks or more, weighing under 20 pounds once it is inside the carrier. Before takeoff, a licensed vet signs off on the puppy's health certificate. Bad weather sometimes delays a flight, so keep a little room in your plans that week.

Our Fluffy Frenchie Puppy Breeder Program, One State Away From Virginia

Raising dogs has been our family's work for 13-plus years, and we own every Fluffy Frenchie parent we breed. When we use an outside stud, he goes through our full testing before any pairing. Some of our litters are raised at the Fresno kennel where we began. Others are raised nearby by a small, closed network of breeders who care for our dogs alone and hold to our testing and care standards. Western Virginia families are close enough to come see us, and the rest of the state gets next-day home delivery.

Long hair is a recessive trait in Frenchies, so both parents have to hand down the gene for a puppy to come out fluffy. That is why every dog gets a DNA test before we breed it. The results cover the coat, furnishings, and eye color, and they tell us which pairings can make fluffy puppies and which colors might show up in a litter. The parents are health screened as well, and we breed dogs with sturdy structure and wide-open nostrils. Screening cannot catch everything, although it does cut down the chance of an inherited problem quite a bit. Each puppy is also backed by a written guarantee that lasts three years and covers congenital and genetic conditions, and it applies to hip and elbow problems as well.

The buildings our dogs live in are climate controlled. Heated tile keeps the floors warm when it is cold out, and geothermal cooling keeps them comfortable in summer. A Danville Veterinary Clinic vet makes a scheduled visit each week to look over the adult dogs and new litters. The puppies start our Super Dog Program on day three, which is a couple of weeks of quick Early Neurological Stimulation exercises. Our kids spend part of each day holding and playing with the puppies. We also work on potty and crate training, and nobody goes home before the 8-week mark. Fluffy Frenchie FAQs Of Virginia Families

Q: We live near Bristol or Abingdon. Which airport would a flight nanny use?

A: Tri-Cities Airport in Blountville, Tennessee, is usually the closest, and it serves Southwest Virginia along with parts of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Roanoke is another option if a better flight lines up there. On our call we compare those flights with van delivery and pick whichever is easiest for you.

Q: When does our puppy need a rabies shot and a Virginia dog license?

A: Virginia law says a dog needs its rabies vaccine at four months old, and a licensed veterinarian (or a vet tech working under one) has to give it. Dogs four months and older also need a license from your county or city, and you will need the rabies certificate to get one. The health record we send shows each vaccine and deworming your puppy has had so far. Take it along to your puppy's first checkup.

Q: Can our Fluffy Frenchie hike with us in Shenandoah National Park?

A: Yes, on most trails. Dogs must be leashed, and the leash can be 6 feet at most. A short list of trails is off limits to pets, including Old Rag, Dark Hollow Falls, Stony Man, and Bearfence Mountain, but those add up to less than 20 of the park's 500 or so trail miles. A Frenchie does best on a short, easy loop.

Q: Can we bring our puppy to the beach in Virginia Beach?

A: It depends on the season. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, dogs are not allowed on the sand in the resort area between Rudee Loop and 42nd Street, but they can walk the Boardwalk on a leash from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Beaches outside that stretch, such as Sandbridge, allow dogs before 10 a.m. and after 6 p.m. in summer. After Labor Day the beaches open back up to dogs at any time.
