Golden Retriever Puppies for Sale in Florida

The Puppy Lodge offers Golden Retriever puppies for sale in Florida, and each one comes from health-tested parents in our small network of breeders near Fresno, Ohio. Every puppy is vet checked, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and dewormings before it leaves.

Our farm sits 12 to 19 hours from Florida by road, with Jacksonville and the northeast corner near the short end of that range and Miami near the long end. The delivery van covers the whole state, and a flight nanny can bring your puppy into one of Florida's larger airports.

Golden Retriever Puppies Available for Florida Homes

Each Golden shown below can be reserved online right now. Reserving takes a $200 deposit, which you can't get back but can put toward a different available puppy. We don't run a waitlist, and a puppy belongs to the first family that reserves it, which can happen the same day it's posted. You can also claim a pick from an upcoming litter, apply for Credova financing online, or ask for a FaceTime call to see a puppy first. We can bring any of these puppies to you in Florida.

Golden Retriever Delivery Options for Florida

We plan how your puppy travels on a short call after you reserve. No matter which option you pick, your puppy travels with a small bag of its current food and a blanket with its mother's scent on it.

Van Delivery Across Florida

For most of Florida we suggest van delivery. A vet checks your puppy before the trip, and then it rides in its own carrier inside a climate-controlled van driven by a professional pet transporter. The van comes right to your door with updates sent along the way, and delivery to Florida runs around $350. Vans leave Fresno on Tuesday mornings, and because the drive time depends on your part of the state, we'll confirm your arrival day on our call.

Flight Nanny to Florida Airports

Flying is faster, and it can make sense in South Florida at the far end of the van route. The nanny keeps your puppy in a soft carrier under the seat in the cabin, never in cargo, and meets you at baggage claim, usually on the same day. Common Florida airports include Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), Palm Beach (PBI), Orlando (MCO), Tampa (TPA), Southwest Florida in Fort Myers (RSW), and Jacksonville (JAX). Each flight is priced on its own and costs more than the van.

To fly, a puppy must be 8 weeks or older, have a licensed vet's health certificate, and weigh under 20 pounds counting the carrier. Golden puppies gain weight quickly, so this option only works while yours still fits that limit. Florida's summer storms can also delay flights, so keep your travel day flexible.

Picking Up in Fresno, Ohio

Families can also collect their puppy at our farm by appointment. You'll meet your Golden and its mother and look over its shot records, microchip details, and health guarantee with us before you leave. Pickup fits families closer to Ohio best, so from Florida it usually only works if you're already planning a trip north.

A Golden Retriever Puppy Breeder Serving All of Florida

Our five-acre farm in Coshocton County is home to the Nisley family, who have bred dogs for more than 13 years. Our Golden litters are raised nearby by a closed group of breeders who only raise our dogs, and the parents belong to us apart from an occasional outside stud with the same testing.

We screen the hips and elbows of both parents before a Golden pairing and pay close attention to structure, since this large breed is prone to joint problems. Each litter is examined more than once during the weekly visits from Danville Veterinary Clinic. The puppies do Early Neurological Stimulation on days 3 through 16, start crate and potty training, and play outdoors daily to build lean muscle for a body that keeps growing until 18 to 24 months. That care is the reason to choose us even from Florida, and each Golden arrives with its own health record and a written three-year guarantee against genetic and congenital conditions.

FAQs Of Florida Families Adopting Golden Retrievers

Q: How do Golden Retrievers do in Florida's heat?

A: A Golden carries a dense double coat that was bred for swimming in cold water, so Florida summers call for some planning. Schedule walks and fetch for early morning or after sunset, keep your dog off hot pavement, and have shade and water close by. A pool, lake, or dog-friendly beach gives a Golden a good way to burn off energy without overheating.

Q: Will swimming cause ear problems for our Golden?

A: A Golden's drop ears hold in moisture, and frequent swimming plus Florida humidity can make ear infections more likely. Check and clean the ears each week with a solution your vet approves, and dry them well after every swim. Redness, odor, or scratching at the ears is a reason to see your vet, since an infection that has started needs treatment.

Q: Can a Golden live in a Florida condo or apartment?

A: A condo is fine for a Golden if someone commits to daily exercise. Plan on 60 to 90 minutes of running, swimming, or fetch each day, which is far more than a lap around the parking lot. Goldens also don't handle long days alone well, so line up a dog walker, daycare, or a midday visit if everyone is gone for a full workday.

Q: What does a Golden from The Puppy Lodge cost?

A: Prices for our Goldens begin at $1,995, and color, coat, and gender set the final amount. Each puppy's listing shows its price before you reserve.

Q: How much hair should we expect?

A: A Golden sheds a lot every month of the year, and it drops even more coat in spring and fall. Brushing a few times a week, and every day while the coat is blowing, keeps it under control, with extra attention on the feathering behind the legs and on the tail where mats start. We go deeper on brushing and baths in our complete guide to Golden Retrievers.
